Sounds like a reach to me. Is he supposed to name every single fighter he is willing to face? He clearly wants the Thurman rematch because there are two titles on the line and the first fight was close. He wants to avenge his loss.

Like I said, he's not even ranked by the IBF, which is sketchy to begin with. Porter hasn't shown any signs of ducking anyone. If it were Mayweather or Garcia, I could understand, but Porter seems willing to fight whoever.

Terrible, I understand getting hurt and wanting to come back and have a tune up fight or two, but saying the entire 2018 year this fight won't happen. Sounds like a blatant duck to me. Spence has been saying your name for a while now and this is what you come back with?

Why fight fighters you already fought no one is demanding those fights. You also skipping Vargas that in my mind will be a great entertaing fight. Please don’t fight someone no one ever heard about or an x champ that should be retired.

Thurman doesn't have a large enough fan base to behave this way. He's losing fans that he cannot afford to lose. Most don't care to see him fight Porter and certainly won't pay to see it again. His "get-back" excuse is embarrassing.
Spence should petition to become his mandatory and/or fight Tewa Kiram.

Thurman isn't a popular enough boxer to ignore other champions. The boxers that ignored him were established in fan bases, accomplishments and/or resumes. Thurman's not at that "business decision" level yet.

Im actually cool with Spence v Porter... Shawn just may have the one style that ESJr has problems with. All that mauling on the inside just might negate Spence’s superior body punching.
