my boy keef one time thurman is a bidness man. fight EJ this year is bad bidness. let the fight marinate couple more years. its still in the oven right now. let it cook. when it does happen it'll be big enough to have mainstream appeal. right now its only appealing for hardcore boxing heads like us here. why serve a product thats still raw to the masses? keef is one hell of a bidnessman. and lets not forget when keef was being ducked by malignaggi, khan, maidana and floyd he had to sit there and take it. so yall need to chill.. its just bidness.

The Fact that he is flat out dismissing any chance of fighting Spence Jr this year without even finding out how his elbow feels after the Vargas fight is kinda disturbing.

Not going to Pile on Thurman, he is damn good fighter and he is still the #1 Welterweight at the moment because he has the best Resume and the most titles in that Divisions currently. That being said, no question that match up concerns him and his team. Regardless, this fight is going to happen eventually but it sucks waiting and the downfall of this sport is that they keep making fans play this unnecessary "Waiting Game"

Not sure what all the casuals are crying about. Both fighters will still be in their prime in 2019. Thurman is not taking an easy path this year. He has Vargas ahead of him and then it's either Porter or Garcia. Spence should try and land a fight with either Porter or Garcia by end of 2018 as well. Or if Mikey Garcia really wants it, give him a shot.

A lot of posters criticizing Thurman has no problem with Mr. 50-0 marinating fights for years on end until they went beyond their expiration date. Now all the sudden they want "the best fighting the best" right away.

I'm not mad at Keith Thurman at all for this statement. I would be much more disappointed if he had said he'd fight anybody and then Spence wasn't in consideration. He's telling the world his timeline and he has every right to do so. Funny everyone is mad at him for being honest. I wouldn't want to go into the fight with "The next big thing" unless I was sure I could give my best performance. He's saying he's not ready for that big of a fight yet and he's getting killed for it. I don't think he deserves the venom yall spitting at him. I hope he beats Errol Spence when they do fight simply because everybody that hated him today is going to be sucking his **** if he does win that fight which he has the ability to do.

So long as both Thurman and Spence remain champions by 2019, I think they make the fight for next year. Don't see a problem with that.
