The way Thurman is behaving I hope his behaviour backfires on him. I'd be celebrating if Khan gets a shot and whoops his ass which isn't very likely. At least that chinless kid isn't lacking for heart. Thurman is talking some mad shìt thinking Errol Spence is his May/Pac fight. He needs to STFU with that bullshìt.

I've criticized Thurman in past posts for his inactivity. No argument there. But this seems to be the way of many PBC fighters. Stevenson, Thurman, Lara, Garcia, Russell Jr., Beterbiev, etc.

Thurman and Garcia should have been earning much more than they have given their age and how long they've been at the top. But, they are content to earn $2M per fight and are not PPV attractions.

Floyd himself takes the credit (blame more like it) for marinating the Pac fight. Essentially waiting him out until he lost a step. I don't see Thurman taking that approach seeing how he and Spence are relatively young.

Question is, will Spence remain at 147 long enough to get fights with Thurman, Garcia, Porter or possibly Crawford? He's a big WW, so hopefully he can stick around the division long enough to see those fights.

Stevenson is a sorry case.

Maybe there is a business model with PBC that we don't just know about but it's crazy if they do make their fighters fight only twice a year.

Spence really has to stay for as long as possible cuz like some other poster said, 154 is filled with actual huge guys moreover Spence needs to make more wave at Welterweight.

Spence is exactly right.

And Keith needs to get his comeback out of the way then fight Spence next.

Unification always trumps mandatories especially if it is a bigger money fight- the sanctioning bodies will have no problem collecting the fees in a unification and will gladly postpone a mandatory defense against an opponent previously defeated in non-controversial fashion.

iirc Thurman stated he wants to have a tune up fight then he says he has to do 2 mandatories which will tie him up for all of 2018

Thurman ran to grab a pen to sign for the Ghost, Porter and Garcia, but now he's hesitant. Thurman v. Spence RIGHT NOW is a bigger fight than all 3 of those fights combined.

Thurman knows that Spence is a big welterweight and will not make 147 forever. I think Thurman is actually comfortable making the weight and thinks he can wait for Spence to have trouble making weight.

Thurman was eager to fight anybody before he became champion. He kept calling out Mayweather and was upset when he was looked over and said all he wanted was a opportunity. Now he's champion and he's "trying" to do to Spence what Floyd did to him. His own motto is I gotta 0 and I ain't afraid to let it go. He's gonna have to switch that up now lol
