To be fair though Thurman has fought Porter and Garcia who are considered the top of the division. It's hard to call him out because of that and plus he's coming off another injury. So I'll give Thurman his credit in that regard he isn't just fighting bums. Besides Spence has the right attitude and Thurman is not a cash cow. Spence has the opportunity to become a big money fight type of fighter.

Spence still has options with either Porter or Garcia, and Matthysse and Callazo can keep him busy for a few rounds. I don't have a problem with Thurman/Spence in early 2019.

Seems like ever since Mayweather retired fans are suddenly demanding fights take place right away. What happened to "marinating"...why is now ducking but with Floyd it was marinating?
It would have meant something if he took on Porter and Garcia in the same year but he didn't. He fought Porter in 2016 and that fight kept getting pushed back because of Thurman. He didn't fight again in 2016 claiming he had to recover from the fight and fights Garcia in 2017. After the Garcia fight he claims another injury and doesn't fight again. Garcia just fought once in 2017 but chose not to fight because he was working on his businesses outside the ring. Thurman on the other hand says he doesn't have the fire in him like Spence does. The best thing would be for Vargas to beat Spence so Thurman wouldn't be holding those belts hostage. The WBA had to create another belt at WW and now Mathysse is fighting for it.

Give Thurman a chance, he's been out injured for a long time.

Spence vs Mayweather would smash records.
Based on millions wanting to see TBE lose.
PAC is still in need of fights and this would be huge for both companies.

Thurman knows Spence biggest threat is in no rush to fight him after surgery layoff Porter Garcia gets a pass figures let Spence and Crawford take big risks like he did let them earn it

His last two fights were tough assignments and I believe top 3 guys ad he's coming off a surgery and a year off so I'm confused about the ducking talk. Let him actually duck the fight before conclusions are drawn but it appears fans get way too caught up in the ducking these days.

there are other title holders and credible opponent's that Spence can fight. He can even move to 154 to fight Sadam Ali or Hurd.

Spence can move to 154 and retire Lara.

Thurman will avoid Spence like death he will fight anyone in ww.w but Spence and if he moves up a division he's going to have a more difficult time he is not overly big for a 147 guy...
