I see what you're saying, but most promoters would keep that "0" alive if they can these days. Clearly Bob didn't influence the judges here which when done, I'm sure happens before the fight even starts. As much as people care about the "0" (me personally I'd rather see a young fighter get humbled because it usually makes or breaks them and separates the wheat from the chaff), Bob would have done everything to preserve it IMO.

ill say this...im fairly certain bob went to loma and his people and asked if they were sure they were ready for this so fast.....they had to be 100 percent sure they were ready for everything the pro game can throw at them......and they definitley thought they were....everyone was probably very confident they could handle salido or anyone.....

a competent ref ends that fight by disqualifying salido. but if we take low blows out the equation salido was simply mauling loma around the ring using his size. it was kinda like horn vs pacquiao. the durability, size and strength of salido caused problems for loma. but late rounds loma found his groove and started beating the dog sht out of salido. but he started this surge too late and correctly lost on points due to the early rounds salido legit won. and just to be fair if we want to talk about rules not being enforced loma did a ton of clinching as well.

another thing about this fight i didn't like was the narrative afterwards about loma learning how it is in the pros compared to amateurs. as if to say in the pros fighting dirty is ok. that was a bad message to put out there.
