You knew what I mean, Schmelling coming into the fight basically just standing for Joe Louis to pound on. In their first fight he countered every punch Louis thrown, but in this fight he just stood and Joe Luis did the rest.

No, Louis wasn't training properly for their first bout. He got his shyt together for the rematch and beat him clean.

No problem man. And yeah random post and also a random fight from 80 years ago but its just a weird moment where Schmeling since he just recently killed Louis 2 years before the fight and just knocked his previous opponent cold, and then became "shot" in that fight.

I guess you could put Roy Jones in that same category. He didn't kill Tarver in the first fight but he did ok. Then he got blasted in 2 rounds 6 months later. He was pretty much done after that TKO loss.

If Schmeling threw the fight they went all out because he ended up in the hospital. Also had some injuries. I didn't know he only threw 2 punches in the fight.

Thank you for bringing this up. I was always afraid to it seemed un-American but then you learn that Schmeling was hiding ***ish kids in his mansion and upset he was used to promote the Aryan race. I've never seen someone hold onto the ropes and brace to get hit like that .that is unnatural
