How is that relevant to what he said? Your comment doesn't make any sense.

He was talking about how the talent pool increased relative to the sport. He's not comparing the overall talent pool of football and boxing. Eastern Europe is to boxing what South America is to football.

The fact is, once the former communist countries allowed pro boxing the talent in boxing increased immediately as evidenced by boxers from those countries started to become champions in big numbers. Only dumb fools like you are in denial.

P.S. Wlad has more title fights than any heavyweight ever. 2nd most defenses ever and 2nd longest reign ever. Lennox was never champ more than a few years at a time. Beating 40 y/o Tyson, 40 y/o Holyfield and Vitali by lucky break doesn't Trump Wlads resume.
Tyson was 36 and Holyfield 37 by my reckoning. Past their prime, certainly in Tyson's case, but not ancient in heavyweight circles.

Watching the fighters of the 90s and comparing them to todays it's clear as day who were the more talented. You can pull stats and numbers from anywhere you like, you are convincing nobody that sees it with their own two eyes.

Keep fishing. I know that you know who the better fighter is and it isn't Wlad.

It's no coincidence that there hasn't been a single dominant heavyweight champion from USA since boxers from the ex Soviet Union countries were allowed to start competing in professional boxing.

It's also not a coincidence that the only place where the athletes from Soviet Union were allowed to compete in boxing, which was the Olympics and amateur boxing before the collapse of the Soviet Union, is where Americans never lopsidedly dominated since 1960. Especially in the heavier weight divisions.

All it does is prove how when the sport is more global, the more competitive that sport is more likely to be, than not.
Eastern European countries combined have won more olympic medals than the USA (the population size is similar), people have always been athletic and into sports here and combat sports have always been big and popular. Lots of poverty and people willing to pursue a career in fighting. It has the talent pool comparable to the USA given the similar population size and similar attitude towards the sport.

People who think that the arrival of Eastern Europe to pro boxing hasn't increased the overall quality of boxing significantly are morons or in denial.

****ing John Ruiz and Valuev were top 5 fighters for a half of Klitschko's reign. More talented fighters though.

Lets also not forget an old fat MW called Toney.

Modern fighters are better. Boxing is a sport where bad fighters can make each other look good and good fighters can make each other look bad. I don't care how "good" they looked, it's entirely subjective.

                    Lewis, no doubt whatsoever.

Wlad was a great Champion in a much weaker era.

I didnt but the picture shows, quite aptly, that Mayweather is nowhere near Alis level, so his ranting about how he is better is bollocks.

                      Your turn to explain now.
