I vote parker but its a toss up really. They are both weak champs but at least parker has come to the UK to fight a fury whereas wilder is to scared to come and fight whyte. At the end of the day AJ is the hw king and these two have to dance to his tune if they want to earn serioous money.

What you are calling talents are physical gifts or attributes, like Valuev's huge size. Boxing talent is something else, and Wilder doesn't have a lot of it.

First things first. I'm not against Wilder/AJ and do want to see this fight...

... AFTER Wilder has done something that would warrant this fight.

Winning the WBC belt 2 years ago (3-4 at the time of the fight) ain't gonna cut it, sorry. He hasn't beaten anyone before or since then. Nor does it look like he will.

Yeah, I get it, Povetkin and Ortiz getting caught weren't his fault, but it doesn't change the fact that Wilder has a worse resume than at least 5 guys in the divison: AJ, Povetkin, Ortiz ,Pulev and Parker.

Which brings me to my next point.

Parker just like Wilder has a belt, so the 'it's a unification doe' excuse Wilder fans love to use goes out of the window. Like Wilder, he has poor skills and and visible flaws. However, he has a better resume than Wilder. Not much better, but it's better nonetheless. He also is a big star in his country so his potential fight vs Wilder would be a financial success as well.

So why do certain people feel Wilder deserves this fight more than Parker?

Joseph Parker's only fights of any note were against Takam, sloppy Andy Ruiz, and feather-fisted giant Hughie Fury. Don't play yourself.

Parker likely gets the fight first anyway (Joshua vs Parker, in Nigeria, in March would be perfect) but don't kid yourself about the fight that the world is looking forward to.

Voted Parker but it's disappointing that neither Parker nor his team have been making real efforts to go after Wilder. You'd imagine Parker would be able to deal with Wilder pretty easily based on the styles, but I guess from a business perspective it makes more sense to wait for the AJ fight than risk it vs Wilder.

Deserve a fight with Joshua? Man y'all fans have it twisted. Joshua is NOT, I repeat NOT the heavyweight champion. We just want to see Joshua Wilder before Joshua Parker. That's all. The hvw crown is up for grabs.
