it doesn't matter what hardcore boxing fans think when you're talking about matchmaking for one of the biggest draws in the entire world.

what do you want to hear?
exactly what you want to hear?

parker has marginally better names and has performed fairly poorly against them. hughie fury, carlos takam, fat **** andy ruiz, these are not guys you'd be raving about if wilder beat them, and you know it.

my money would be on wilder beating parker up. and vegas would agree with me. what else do you want to hear?

Parker faced better opponents & has better resume so far... Ruiz, Takam & Fury > anyone Wilder faced.

Disagree man, if Haye has the WBO by the summer that makes a lot more money than Wilder, as things are now. Unless Wilder decides to start playing the game.

He maybe would've ko'ed Fury with his usual hail Mary but after many rounds of looking like shyt. Szpilka already shown how Wilder deals with movement.

Ruiz he'd beat on points like Parker did, it'd probably look exactly like Stiverne fight. Wilder likes his opponents stationary and not throwing too much, when they do he jabs and moves around the ring. Ruiz is stationary but he throws some good combos.

i'd bet money that parker himself would acknowledge that wilder is more talented.

who is a harder puncher than wilder? surely you don't think it's parker. nobody other than joshua is in the same league in terms of punching power. or talent.
He has a better jab, better footwork, hes technically better, hes defensively better. do you want me to go on?
Don't get me wrong Parker is hardly flawless, but compared to Wilder? there is no comparison.
Parker is still learning, he has 5 more years until he reaches his full potential. Wilder is 31? he's in his prime, he's not going to get any better.

Wilder is technically terrible, his right hand gets him out of jail when hes losing and being outboxed agaisnt NFL players and polish soccer hooligans. To say hes clearly more talented than Parker is frankly ridiculous. Wilder is still making amateur mistakes after 10 years in the game, ..he's still jumping back in straight lines with his hands in the air? it's laughable dude.

Im not denying Wilder doesnt have power, he clearly does, but to say 'hes the hardest puncher in the sport' is a massive leap, considering like i said he fought 1 C level opponent (who got stopped by a journeyman with 30 losses earlier in his career) and he couldnt KO him.

Have always said meh to both, they both haven’t done anything to make me sit up or get excited. I think Joshua so far is the only HW that has done something in regards to building his name and that weight thus the reason why he is the A-side. Hopefully those two would build their names and this fight and hopefully make it worth it next year.

you genuinely don't know what the word talent means.

... AFTER Wilder has done something that would warrant this fight.

Winning the WBC belt 2 years ago (3-4 at the time of the fight) ain't gonna cut it, sorry. He hasn't beaten anyone before or since then. Nor does it look like he will.

Yeah, I get it, Povetkin and Ortiz getting caught weren't his fault, but it doesn't change the fact that Wilder has a worse resume than at least 5 guys in the divison: AJ, Povetkin, Ortiz ,Pulev and Parker.

Which brings me to my next point.

Parker just like Wilder has a belt, so the 'it's a unification doe' excuse Wilder fans love to use goes out of the window. Like Wilder, he has poor skills and and visible flaws. However, he has a better resume than Wilder. Not much better, but it's better nonetheless. He also is a big star in his country so his potential fight vs Wilder would be a financial success as well.

So why do certain people feel Wilder deserves this fight more than Parker?

'that Alabama power doe'? - the same power Wilder couldn't knock out with the only decent opponent he's fought? Parker can **** too.

Or maybe it's because Deontay is American, loud and posts emotional videos on social media?

wilder is the longest reigning champion in the division.

                  plain and simple

Deontay Wilder has the better credentials and would make for an exciting matchup. Joseph Parker has one gear in the ring and no charisma out of it. He also got a gift and is a paper champion.

We've already established that Wilder fight is bigger and nobody is arguing that.

What I want to hear is why is Wilder deserving of AJ fight from a boxing fan point of view not promoter's which is what you are doing.

And no, I wouldn't be raving about them if he beaten those guys just like I'm not raving about them now that Parker beaten them. But they're still better names than 99% of Wilder's resume.
