watching parker's last couple of fights particularly it's pretty obvious who is the more talented of the two. both are green and not very good, but at least wilder is giant and the hardest puncher in the sport.

now, does that mean wilder is a shoe in if htey fight? no. it's hw and a lot can happen. but vegas would have wilder comfortably favored i can assure you.

KO'ing journeyman and D level opponents does not equate to the hardest puncher in the sport imo.

1 C level opponent and he couldnt KO him.

Parker looks vulnerable but he has beaten better guys than wilder in a quarter of the time Wilder has been pro. therefore he deserves the fight IMO

Talent wise, wilder is not comparable to parker, Parker would never get outboxed by Spilka for 9 rounds

Lol the eye test? Wilder struggles against subpar competition fight after fight until he lands the right hand and KO's them. So does Parker.

And nobody is penalizing Wilder, we just don't want him to get the red carpet treatment he's been getting his entire career.

Parker is more deserving as he has a better resume.

parkers off to fight some bum in japan while wilders calling him and legit hw fighters out. too bad they keep cheating and ducking

... AFTER Wilder has done something that would warrant this fight.

Winning the WBC belt 2 years ago (3-4 at the time of the fight) ain't gonna cut it, sorry. He hasn't beaten anyone before or since then. Nor does it look like he will.

Yeah, I get it, Povetkin and Ortiz getting caught weren't his fault, but it doesn't change the fact that Wilder has a worse resume than at least 5 guys in the divison: AJ, Povetkin, Ortiz ,Pulev and Parker.

Which brings me to my next point.

Parker just like Wilder has a belt, so the 'it's a unification doe' excuse Wilder fans love to use goes out of the window. Like Wilder, he has poor skills and and visible flaws. However, he has a better resume than Wilder. Not much better, but it's better nonetheless. He also is a big star in his country so his potential fight vs Wilder would be a financial success as well.

So why do certain people feel Wilder deserves this fight more than Parker?

'that Alabama power doe'? - the same power Wilder couldn't knock out with the only decent opponent he's fought? Parker can **** too.

Or maybe it's because Deontay is American, loud and posts emotional videos on social media?
It ain't about being deserving its down to $$$£££! AJ didn't deserve to fight for the IBF belt after only fighting at domestic level. But he brought the most money to the table. AJ-Wilder makes more money than any other plausible HW fight in 2018. It's common sense. All these AJ-Wilder threads are ******ed!
I originally wanted AJ-Wilder but at this point, I hope there's some miracle where they both get ICED by Takam and Stiverne and I get to read no more **** about AJ-Wilder.

pretty obvious why he'll get the fight.

particularly for the big fights at HW the only people who say "well his resume isn't quite as good" are hardcore boxing fans. casuals will eat wilder vs joshua up. they're exaclty what people want to see and expect at HW.
You're talking from a casual fan point of view and my question is for hardcores.

We all know how casuals feel.

in what areas, [and on what planet,] is joseph parker more talented than deontay wilder?

i'd bet money that parker himself would acknowledge that wilder is more talented.

who is a harder puncher than wilder? surely you don't think it's parker. nobody other than joshua is in the same league in terms of punching power. or talent.
