What was so great about Ward? He fought dirty, and his claim to fame was the 168 lb. tournament. Who did he beat...Abraham the brawler who fights with his face, Kessler who he elbowed and headbutted all night, Green and Bika who are B-rate at best? His best win is Froch, and he fought him dirty too. Dawson had to drain himself to make 168, and he demanded a catch weight for Paul "No-hope" Smith at 172.
Who is greater, Andre Ward or Timothy Bradley?

winning a gold medal & the super six was better then what Bradley has done. What was so great about Ward? He fought dirty, and his claim to fame was the 168 lb. tournament. Bradley was good but Ward was betterComment

Agreed I give it to Ward too and LOL @ people claiming Marquez win the Bradley fight. Bradley outboxed him pretty easilyAlways liked Tim, but he was foolish in the ring with Provo, and that led to a real slide. Tim has some very good wins, excellent win over Marquez (idk whytf anyone would think that fight was close) and very good wins over solid guys.
Only issue is at the top level he lost to Manny, and Ward WAS the top level fighter in both divisions he fought in, thus I have to give it to Ward. Also undefeated vs very good fighters.Comment

I was with you until you said his win over Marquez was controversial. WRONGI'm gonna say Ward and it's really not a debate to me. Their resume's are both good but when you watch them it's clear Andre was the much more skilled and complete fighter. Bradley had skill but won a lot of his fights due to "grit" for example the Alexander and Witter fights he just outworked them. Ward on the other hand dominated top guys and made it look easy. That's very hard to do.
Plus Bradley had several controversial fights you could argue he lost. For example you could argue he should've lost to Pacquiao 3 times, Provodnikov, Marquez and he also had a draw with Chavez. Obviously Pacquiao and Marquez are the best names on his resume and I thought he didn't beat either of them so I gotta give it to Ward. Kessler, Froch, Dawson, Rodriguez, Kovalev. These are all top guys who he beat handily and most of them were easy work for him. Bradley was very good but I never thought he was really "ELITE" where as there was one point where Ward was considered p4p#1 and just a notch below Floyd which says a lot.
Tim dominated that match, his career best performance.
this is not a debate though. Ward > Bradley, and that's no disservice to Tim.Comment
