Like Kovalev says, the division will be better without Ward because the 3 world titles he was gifted will all be up for grabs now and real boxers who actually want to fight can compete for them.

Kovalev paid the ungrateful ****. He should watch his mouth. He' not even close to being the best trainer out there. Maybe Sanchez would be a good one again.

with english being his 2nd language, some of the things he tries to convey sometimes get misconstrued. I think what he was trying to say that Ward retiring is good for boxing because the titles are now vacant, so you could now have meaningful fights between Barrera, Kovalev, Bivol, Jack, Sullivan, etc. Yes, these fights could've happened without the titles on the line, but are more likely to happen if the titles are on the line.
