They were trying to avoid scheduling it at the same time as college basketball as I recall. Gave Jacobs some crazy additional time to put weight back on and let his body absorb it as spinal fluid, (dehydration makes you more susceptible to getting KOed).

Yup, I heard the same thing. Jacobs had an epidural before the fight.

I'm stoked that Alex Saucedo is finally getting some air time. That kid can fight.

I can smell it man, It's been brewing. It has to happen if GGG beats Canelo.
zurdo looked bad in his last fight and then injured his hand and that was the last I heard of him. I definitely want to see that fight.

He'll more than likely rematch Nelo, get a few more bouts to break the record, then move up. He didn't blow up until his was in his early 30s so it makes sense

He broke his hand against Abraham last April and then came back a year later against Bursak to shake off the rust. Afterwords he acknowledged he was rusty but the hand felt great.

We'll see a much more upbeat Zurdo against Hart.

I understood at the time it was indeed some sort of scheduling conflict. But for sure, Jacobs had a size advantage and it won't have hurt his rehydration etc.

But other than just the size, he also had the foot movement and enough power on his shots to keep Golovkin honest for the full 12.

Arguably, Canelo won't have any of the things that gave Jacobs the tools to take keep Golovkin at bay for 12. Maybe he will be big at 160 too, but he's a couple inches shorter than Jacobs and won't have his reach. Power ? Maybe when Canelo sits down on his punches he hits like Jacobs (?), but he doesn't have Jacobs' foot movement, which was very good.

Enough unknowns going into the fight to make it fun speculating.

GGG is a hybrid doe. Russian/Kazakh/Korean stock. Russian school/Mexican style boxer.

... I don't think he has any Kazakh blood in him... he only was born there...

I read that his mother is Kazakh/Korean.
