Obviously you are not a boxing fan just a fan of the few noteworthy American fighters.
    Loma vs Berchelt
Usyk vs Huck vs Briedis vs Gassiev
    Gvozdyk vs Stevenson vs Kovalev
Groves vs Eubank vs Degale vs Benavidez
    Just to name a few

Good point but thats with head gear. He developed his skills with protection. Unlike Canelo who learned the hard way and took bodily harm as a 15 year old

Kinda speaks to that tenative nature of his doesn't it? Let me protect myself with this head gear until I get really good. Canelo is a different animal. He just jumped in there no head gear at 15. Turned pro and demanded the best in the world Mayweather before he was ready. Said line up Lara, triple g Angulo, triple g Kirkland, and lets not forget how he swam with Trout. Meanwhile, triple g very bashfully increased his competition fighting the likes of a jmw rosado, wille monroe jr and even lesser fighters until he got to the level of Lemieux. That cautious nature was evident in that fight, fighting very beta behind the jab until Lemieux "shot his load". Kinda reminds me of Mayweather against Mcgregor with how timid they both started early. Then finally he got to this level with Jacobs and was clearly beaten. Still, the judges gave him the win and here we are. He has finally caught up to the level of super mega ultra star Canelo Alvarez. Even if that last win was handed to him. He's about to get completely embarrassed. Its not because he's old, its because he simply has never on the level of the sensational Canelo Alvarez.
