Boxing is gonna miss Floyd, like it or not!

Of course there will always be good fights, great fights and classics but there's nothing like a polarizing, combined talent, level of skill, work ethic and controversy carrying fighter like Mayweather that gets the world to talk about boxing!

How many years before Mayweather's not the dominant topic of discussion on this board? Over under is 4 IMO.

I think the tone has shifted a little around his legacy. Very few totally irrational haters left. people are starting to look at his legacy a little more honestly.

I think Arum screwing over Pacquaio with Horn has a little to do with that. Dana White calling out Arum this week too makes it obvious that Arum was always the probelm in making fights with Floyd, also evidenced by the fact that it took Cotto all of 3 weeks to sign a fight with Floyd after he left Arum briefly.

Mayweather doesn't have a perfect fight card, but in this day and age with so much money and massive egos, he fought a ton of the best fighters he could and went undefeated despite moving up 5 weight classes. I thhink his legacy is going to be appreciated more and more as the years pass.

Floyd tried to fight Pacquiao for years dating all the way back to 2009 but Manny was too scared of needles and Bob did everything he could not to make it happen. He wanted to make a ton of money off Manny first because he knew once he fought Floyd it was game over for him.

Hatton was undefeated when he fought Floyd, LOL! You can pick holes in anyone's resume. If you're gonna do this you could say Manny fought about 10 guys who were coming off losses. Even if it's true in 3-4 cases with Floyd, there's still 25 or so top guys on his resume who were on top of their game when he fought them.

Ha..speaking of needles, Manny wanted to be tested by WADA not only because he was a Filipino training in Philippines but because Floyd suddenly insisted on working with a USADA, who he had just paid $100,000. USADA's Tygard also played golf regularly with Floyd's promoter Golden Boy who lost a defamation lawsuit concerning PEDS.Tygart was Oscar's main witness..lol USADA also had a long and dismal track record of cover ups (Marion Jones, Trevor Graham, Lance Armstrong to name just a few) and the only reason that they finally went after Lance Armstrong was to bring down their main competitor-- International Cycling Union who was being paid off by Armstrong for years. before that they covered up Lance too, that is until Lance denied Don Catlin lab funding. Anyway USADA has a long history of screwing Manny just like they used to try and screw Armstrong's competitors

Likewise, its no wonder that renowned PED peddler Don Hale took Floyd in and became one of his best friends over the years after Floyd Sr. went to prison

You are resting your opinion on your observation of Hattons condition at the time of the fight. You could be right, you could be wrong that's the problem with totally subjective arguments. Hatton looking like shiat and reduced to wrestling against both Urango and Colazzo 10x more than even McGregor is very objective
