Just to be clear a guy who's trained for years, sparred, etc, but never fought amateur or pro = the same level of boxing experience as the guy who never even went into a boxing gym?
That sounds insane to me.
I'm not saying sparring & a fight is the same if you're listening to the question. I'm asking you whats the difference outside of the refs & judges + crowd with sparring while trying to knock each others block off & two amateurs trying to knock each others block off in a amateur fight? Cuz those two things seem like the same or similar experience to the guys involved I would imagine, but I never competed "under the lights" so I'm asking for your take. Again minus the refs, judges & crowd which I've mentioned like 8 times now.
That sounds insane to me.
So now you are kind of saying it is the same? I don't really follow.
NO version of sparring is the eqivilent to an actual fight.
