    That sounds insane to me.

So now you are kind of saying it is the same? I don't really follow.

NO version of sparring is the eqivilent to an actual fight.
I'm not saying sparring & a fight is the same if you're listening to the question. I'm asking you whats the difference outside of the refs & judges + crowd with sparring while trying to knock each others block off & two amateurs trying to knock each others block off in a amateur fight? Cuz those two things seem like the same or similar experience to the guys involved I would imagine, but I never competed "under the lights" so I'm asking for your take. Again minus the refs, judges & crowd which I've mentioned like 8 times now.

Neither have any boxing experience but one of them has learned the basics and has insight to boxing training and I guess experience when it comes to boxing training.

I have already told you the difference.

And I'm not really speaking on the odds anyway, but what I am saying is boxing is a young mans game & how many fighters who are older & out of the sport for 2 years have comeback to not look like the guy they were before they left? A f#cking lot of guys. The MMA doesn't matter so much as the old & out of the game for 2 years angle.

Sh^t man Paulie retired 6 months ago & allegedly he got beaten from pillar to post by Conor if you believe Conor's side of it. If a 2 time boxing champion is getting beat down in sparring to a MMA guy who's younger & more active then Floyd is it realllllllly that much of a jump to make that if Floyd isn't like the guy we saw vs Berto that things could go south on him?

And I'm a Floyd fan since before most everyone here even knew him let alone hated him, but I'm not delusional about age & inactivity & guys doing things for the money in a young mans game.
Huge mistake going strictly by the odds!!!! They will NOT call Indongo the UPSET OF THE CENTURY if he wins but I have $5,000 bet that if MC pulls off the upset, it will be called the UPSET OF THE CENTURY! I'm talking about the court of public opinion, not the vegas odds because it is the public opinion that knows this is a circus act FOR A REASON! It is an ATG boxer going against a guy with ZERO AM or PRO boxing record. THAT is why it is considered a circus act. If MC was 25-0 as a boxer, it would not have been seen as a circus act. It is a seen as money grab by both guys, nothing more, noting less but anyone with the sense that god gave a frog would know that if a guy with ZERO AM and Pro fights beats an ATG boxer with a 49-0 record, the SPORTSWORLD will never hear the end of it, the media will go crazy over it with countless stories and magazine covers, you name it - and the UFC will gloat about it for eternity and Boxing's reputation will take a HUGE, HUGE blow! It owuld be THE UPSET OF THE CENTURY. That is not up for debate, period!!

          Agree to disagree.

Experience is experience to me not just amateur or pro fights. I mean thats how experience works its doing the thing its not doing the thing via just this small window of approved ways to do the thing.

I just brought up odds cuz you brought up odds. But like I said I think people are far too c#cky about a 40 year old who's not fought in 2 years. And I also think people are underselling Conor as well. Granted I'm picking Floyd & got money on Floyd even, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have some concern about who we see in Floyd's corner when the first bell rings. Do we see the same guy we saw in Sept. 2015 or some new guy who's a lil slower, without the timing & who's just looking a lil off after his longest layoff & hitting 40.

"HUGE HUGE blow". lol. Some of you cats gonna have a stroke if Conor legit wins. I'm amazed that boxing fans are so freaked out by the prospect of a guy losing, a guy who has more hater fans than legit fans at that. This fight is surreal to me still, but fans got me feeling like the whole experience of this fight is surreal with the fighters & the fans lol.

You not only made a huge mistake bringing up the odds but it was a total brain fart for you mentioning Crawford vs Indongo!!! Are they calling Indongo vs Crawford a circus act???? A money grab????? And embarrassment to the sport of boxing regardless of who wins???? Dude you are grabbing at straws even bringing in that fight as a measure of the odds. Furthermore, I have said nothing about how I would feel if either MC or Floyd wins, so your freaked out statement has nothing to do with me, I am talking about the affect on the sportsworld and the reputation of boxing. Again, the bottom line that is universally accepted is that if a guy with zero boxing fights beats an unbeaten ATG boxer, it will be a MONSTROUS UPSET and the media will blitz all over it and it will be the biggest black eye boxing will ever know. That is not up for debate whatsoever.

LMFAO. Take a pill or something brother.

Money grabbing rules the sport these days. GBP & Canelo have been money grabbing for a year or two before they got publicly embarrassed into taking the fight with GGG finally. Thats why I'm saying it'd be a good thing to bring down this house of cards that boxing is operating on by a guy from outside the sport doing something crazy.

And like I said I brought up odds cuz you f#cking did. Who's betting on what wasn't your point nor mine so I got no f#cking clue what you are going on about with the f#cking odds like a crazy person.

"MONSTROUS UPSET" lmfao. Goddamn some of you cats are nuts. Floyd losing is Floyd losing. He's 40. He hasn't fought in 2 years. I know some of you guys don't think highly of MMA guys, but they can fight & they take risks that boxers won't & that could make an upset possible vs a non-peak inactive guy.

Like I said I ain't betting on it, but its not outside the realm of possibilities like some of you guys wanna act like. And who gives a f#ck what the masses say? We don't care about what they think for any other fight who gives a f#ck if the masses don't understand upsets happen or they think boxing sucks cuz a 40 year old inactive guy lost to a 28(?) year old active guy.

By "Conor began his fighting career in boxing" you mean he went to a couple of tae kwon do and boxing gyms as a kid before switching to MMA at age 16. He has no chance dude.

It would be great/hilarious if Conor won, but by even pretending it's a possibility you're falling for the marketing campaign.

I played hockey when I was 15. Think I could go play in the Stanley Cup finals and walk away MVP?

Everything you said is hollow, brainless sht! So put up or shut up. If in the extremely rare chance MC wins, if the media calls this a huge upset, you owe me $1,000. If they dont, I owe you $1,000. Put up or shut up. A guy with a ZERO AM and PRO boxing record beating a 49-0 ATG doesnt happen in sports, EVER! That is why this would be called a HUGE upset and that is why they are calling it now a circus act. Again, put up or shut up. This isnt just some 40 year old and some 28 year old which makes your statement even more brainless.

Idek wtf you are talking about with your delirious ass at this point. The f#cking odds say Conor is the dog so of course it's an upset. When did I say it's not an upset? Motherf#ck you're crazier than sh^thouse rat.

And lol at you calling me brainless when your like a squeling woman and dropping feelings all over this thread over the possibility that Floyd could actually lose.
