marquez literally chased after manny like a sore loser little brother trying to beat his older bro in a game of 21 in basketball. years and years of chasing, he finally beat the older brother (manny).

He's kind of like Joe Frazier of this era.

If JMM win over Pacquaio is tainted then all those Pacquaio wins are tainted. Don't act like there's no PED cloud over Pacquaio's career. Marquez already had a HOF career before Pacquaio IV. Pacquaio didn't before the speculation came out.

          Fair is fair.

Along with the victory over MAB it's safe to say Marquez will go down as a great champion just not an elite one. Had he beaten Manny with no allegations and certainly not lost to John and Bradley then he reaches elite level with the others of this era Manny, Floyd, Hopkins and Wlad. Personally I'd like to see JMM come back for 2 more fights against Bradley and Manny if he wins both clean then his legacy is greatly enhanced. The problem is wear and tear of all his wars have destroyed his body so it's probably time for him to call it a day. Great fighter one of the best of the last 20 years he just came up short of being elite imo.
Marquez was 40 and two weight classes higher than his best divisions for Bradley. Anyone that's seen the John fight without Pacquaio's balls in their eyes know Marquez won that one.

Pacquaio lost to Horn, two dudes in Asia also so by that token take him out of your "best of era" talk. Hopkins lost to Taylor twice, Calzaghe, Dawson also. Scrap him. Wlad lost to Purrity, Brewster, Sanders actually as an established and near prime fighter so lose him.

Your nitpicking to much and trying to prove a point because your butturt Marquez had the audacity to beat your boy. Marquez is a great fighter in any era and any Boxing fan (I disqualify *******s as fans as they are fans of a fighter not a sport) would give him that.

No one said anything about manny and peds until Floyd started stirring the pot.

That was after Manny beat JMM twice, Erik twice, MAB twice, dlh and hatton.

I'm sure had he just let Pacquaio beat him he'd be elite but since he was a meanie and kept whupping on Pacquaio he's just an average run of the mill Mexican fighter.

Incorrect. Floyd started that in 2009 when Pacquaio had only beaten JMM once and that was controversially as most felt JMM won that fight.

Also, no there was talk before that. Around 2005/2006. It just became more mainstream when Floyd said it.

So, Manny is the best ever yet at 3 different stages in his career he fought a not so good guy in major fights who each time had the majority of media and neutral fans thinking he lost to culminating in a brutal KO defeat?

                      Not sure that adds up.
