I don't undestand what you mean by alone. Are you a part of the crowd that think the judges and refs got together twice and decide to give Ward a gift? How is giving Ward favorable treatment advancing boxing on a whole. It's not like he's a PPV star and by all accounts he can barely sell out his hometown.

You don't get it? Ward is promoted by Roc Nation. Roc Nation is owned by a guy who makes Floyd Mayweather look like a pauper who can't even afford to pay his taxes.

Ward's promotors gave him a guarantee of $6million for a rematch of a fight that flopped on PPV first time around.

Why did they do that?

I don't think it was because they wanted to advance boxing. I think it was because somebody with a lot of money to throw around badly wanted to see Ward beat Kovalev, and was willing to pay as much as it took to make that happen.

I agree. The fight should have ended more decisively.

I'm probably one of the few people that actually like both fighters so I would've been fine with a Kovalev win.

I don't think we need a third fight but it wouldn't surprise me if we another fight.

The ref didn't call them so I can only assume he didn't see the low blows. As far as the ref is concerned Kovalev was in pain from body shots. Is that alternative that hard to believe?

Would you be this vocal about the outcome if Kovalev won the fight the way Ward did?

he was literally a foot away and he didnt see the clear low blows? that is ridiculous. why is he there if hes so unqualified? he saw them in the second round just fine what happeend to his vision??? he messed up and instead of boxing admitting he messed up they back him. doesnt that tell you a lot about how boxing operates?

yes i would be since i dont like seeing people robbed even if they are cheaters like ward. one cheat doesnt deserve another. if kessler started headbutting ward and ko'd him i dont think i would be the biggest kessler fan. id prob be saying damn that guy got cheated and headbutt ko'd. but whenever ward does something his fanboy ignore it. we have enough proof of that now.

Still, it was horrible for boxing to see that travesty. Kova was ****ed walking into this fight. Jay Z & Beyonce are one of those nutcase *** advocates. Kova making black jokes in that Roc Nation promotion environment pretty much means he is going to be made an "example" out of. Plus with Kova being a "racist" to his respected trainer and being Russian (Jay Z is a massive ******* ********..)essentially means no rules, take him out. It's just boxing though. He was warned in round 2, which means it was accidental. If it were intentional, the ref would have deducted a point or DQed Ward. That said, it doesn't follow that every other subsequent borderline punch would be ruled a foul.

Watch the last minute before it was stopped and count how many unanswered punches Ward lands. I know he wasn't landing flush shots but Kovalev's body language didn't look like someone who wanted to continue at all.

so ward didnt actually hit kovalev low 3 times even though we have video evidence of it happening? this is why you are a fanboy the same exact thing happens in 2 fights but in one fight you say it was a dirty move and in the other you say the guy quit because he was fouled. they were both low blows. they should be treated the same but you simpy do not care as long as your "guys" stay winning. they are actually taking advantage of your loyalty but you dont even care.

He didn't flail or back off and let the ref come in, he didn't wince and crouch down for a breather - he was bent over, it's a fight, so Ward was supposed to check on him?? Isint it protect yourself at all times?? Fans will only see what they want to see... Fans will only defend a bully who wanted out - well if it was that serious, then they would have filed their official protest/complaint 2days later on Monday the first business day after the fight!!

he said it was low in round 2. why wouldnt the same punch be low in round 7 or 8? and the final 3 were actually lower than all the others so they would definitely be ruled a foul right? is every single low blow now considered borderline? doesnt matter if its intentional or not you cant let a fighter keep fouling and getting an advantage. well you can and he did but that shouldnt be teh case. do the rules simply not matter for certain fighters? are you going to make excuses everytime ward clinches, headbutts, and low blows? why? what do you get from it. do you want to be a cheater like him when you grow up?
