    Floyd Mayweather Jr., Champion
    Miguel Cotto
    Paul Williams

Tell me why instead of fighting Cotto, Williams, Margarito, Floyd fought Ricky Hatton and retired right after?

When presented with Cotto, why did Floyd say "I won't let the sport of boxing retire me, I'll retire before that happens"?

Why did Floyd say this only to continue to fight for another 10 years to this day?

nobody in the top 10 fought Williams except margarito.

but Floyd ducked, you are a hypocrite bro

floyd said he was retiring after he beat Oscar which was may 2007, so why would you be surprised that he retired December 2007?

floyd sat out 2008 while nothing happened in the division. let's recap

pacquiao had never fought at 147 until December 2008.

Mosley fought once in 2008 and it was against mayorga and it wasn't even at 147

margarito and cotto fought each other in 2008

Williams fought Quintana twice after losing the first one, a guy named andy kolle, and Vernon Philips at 154

but everybody was fighting everybody right?

you can't change facts with your own narrative.

but they all was fighting each other right? gtfoh

Floyd fought Cotto 4 years and many beatdowns after he was supposed to fight him.

Floyd didn't partake in the WW tourney that was going on from 2007-2009 at all. He fought a JWW then retired. Came out of retirement and fought a 135 lb fighter.

Floyd could've fought Margarito and Williams. He's TBE right?

From 2007-2009, Floyd's resume consisted of Marquez and Hatton. Neither guy was a WW.

        You can't defend this.

Floyd retired and ducked Cotto, Williams and Marg during 2008-2009. If you want to make the plaster claim about Marg, sure, but that didn't come out until after Floyd already ducked him

Floyd has been in the drivers seat for his career since 2006. Floyd fought who Floyd wanted to fight. Plain and simple. Floyd just fought Hatton and retired and let the rest of the mob beat the schit out if each other all the while so he can come back just in the nick of time for Marquez

            Cotto fought Marg Mosley Pac
            Marg fought Cotto Mosley Williams
            Floyd fought Hatton

What don't you understand about this? What don't you understand about the fact that Floyd was a WW champion and didn't fight not 1, I repeat, NOT 1 single top WW.

Williams, Cotto, Mosley and Margarito ALL FOUGHT TOP WWs during that time. Floyd fought Ricky Hatton and retired!!

Are you purposely trying to play ******?

Forrest beat mosley, not once but twice. that's when Oscar decided to move up because he didn't want it with vernon Forrest. even though the dude had his titles around his waist.

you dont think de la hoya vs Mosley 2 would have happened right after Mosley vs Forrest 2 is Mosley would have won?
              cause I do.

Forrest fought mayorga cause the golden boy didn't give him a ppv shot

              the rest is history.

Oscar also said he was fighting the cotto vs margarito winner. margarito won and Oscar picked pacquiao.

he got ducks on his resume

Either you weren't following the sport then or you are purposely acting ******ed. I can't tell yet.

But let's check this boxingscene article in summer 2007 and see what the status quo was so there's no confusion:

                https://www.boxingscene.com/forums/s...d.php?t=135690

And I quote "Mayweather knows the next opponent for Floyd will probably come out of the Nov. 10 battle between WBA welterweight champ Miguel Cotto and former three division title-holder "Sugar" Shane Mosley."

This was the plan in 2007. But all of a sudden Floyd retired and said he'd retire from boxing before boxing retired him.

Uncle Roger even acknowledged that Floyd was suppose to fight the Cotto vs Mosley winner so stop trying to change history.

The quicker you understand this the quicker we can move on.
