they get a pass tho right?
No because all the top 147 lbers fought each other except Floyd who retired.

Marg fought Williams/prime Cotto/Mosley when it counted

Cotto fought Pac, Marg and Mosley when it counted.

    Williams fought #1 Marg.

Wanna know who Floyd fought? #1 Junior WW Ricky Hatton.

This is from a guy who says he's TBE. no one is picking on Floyd. Stop

arum changed his mind and said cotto wasn't ready.

you dudes change the narrative over and over

Floyd vs Mosley was supposed to happen in 2006. hbo was ready to make the fight and Mosley turned it down and said he was going on vacation

Dr la Hoya vs mayweather happened in 2007 because Oscar wanted it too.

Oscar was the A side not Floyd. so Floyd had to wait until Oscar decided to fight. it wasn't the other way around.

Floyd didn't pick Oscar. Oscar picked Floyd.

Oscar was the A side. Floyd didn't wait til Oscar was 36. Oscar waited until he was 36.

      these are facts, not opinions
Cotto was not prime in 2005. He was prime in 08. Should Wlad had fought Joshua in 2015 or 2017? Big difference.

I never said Floyd ducked Mosley so pay attention.

DLH was over the hill at the tail end of his career. Look at the stats I posted. The next fight after Floyd, DLH got beat up by Steve Forbes for crying out loud

And do I need to show you all the videos where Floyd was calling out De La Hoya?

In 2008, here were The Ring's top 10 Welterweights:

        Antonio Margarito
        Miguel Cotto
        Shane Mosley
        Joshua Clottey
        Manny Pacquiao
        Carlos Quintana
        Zab Judah
        Luis Collazo
        Andre Berto
        Isaac Hlatshwayo

In 2007, here were The Ring's top 10 Welterweights:

        Floyd Mayweather Jr., Champion
        Miguel Cotto
        Paul Williams
        Shane Mosley
        Antonio Margarito
        Zab Judah
        Kermit Cintron
        Luis Collazo
        Joshua Clottey
        Jackson Osei Bonsu
        Oktay Urkal

Tell me why instead of fighting Cotto, Williams, Margarito, Floyd fought Ricky Hatton and retired right after?

When presented with Cotto, why did Floyd say "I won't let the sport of boxing retire me, I'll retire before that happens"?

Why did Floyd say this only to continue to fight for another 10 years to this day?

and I guess you agree that he ducked margarito after he beat cotto? to instead fight a 135 pacquiao that ended up being a cherry pick gon wrong
De la Hoya went for Vargas and Forrest went for Mayorga. Forrest then lost back to back. Just stop man.

Cotto himself said he never chased a Mayweather fight and after Floyd left Top Rank he did no business with them cause he was owed i think 100k..this is well documented..the Hatton fight was in huge demand and people at the time were saying Floyd would duck him..lets not rewrite history man

When Cotto was asked if he would fight FMJ, Cotto said yes, Ill fight whoever's in front of me.

When FMJ was asked if he would fight Cotto, FMJ said Cotto lives too far and he won't let boxing retire him.

              There's a difference in rhetoric.

Regarding Hatton, Hatton was the lesser fighter of the three (I.e. Williams, Cotto, Marg) and wasn't even a Welterweight let alone top Welterweight. Hatton tried to come up to 147 and barely was able to beat Luis Collazo. He was a JWW.

But let me play devil's advocate. Could Floyd have fought Hatton, followed by Cotto, followed by Williams followed by Marg? Absolutely.

Was it a schitty decision to fight JWW Hatton and then retire and skip out on fighting all the top WWs until they either moved up in weight or beat the crap out each other only to call yourself TBE thereafter? You bet your ass.

Out of the ring, you say? Oscar is a more successful promoter than Floyd outside of the ring. Hence why Oscar has Canelo and Floyd is sitting on the sidelines saying he wished he had Canelo under his tutelage instead.

Floyd also fought cotto, mosley,Pac so stop making excuses.

none of those dudes fought Williams except margarito.

you just proved you are bias.

because Floyd was calling him out for years, like you said right?

and cotto was a champion in 2005. he lost his title in 2008.

that's the difference. cotto was a champion at the same time as Floyd in 2005. it would have been a unification.

Joshua wasn't a champion in 2015 . see the difference?
