Come on guys i'm from the UK too but let's be real Ward has fought and beat a lot better competition and is just a more complete all around boxer. All you gotta do is watch both guys fight and you can clearly see Ward has a lot more tools/attributes than Calzaghe. Better speed, power, footwork, better inside fighter etc. Joe threw a lot of punches we all know that but Ward's defense/movement would neutralize that and counter him a lot which would obviously reduce that output significantly. Kovalev beat Ward? You think the Froch fight was close? Just stop it.

People in this country think you gotta back everyone who's from here, whoever it is. It's like I watched the guy fight and it's clear to me that Ward's just a lot better. Joe's one of the most protected fighters of his era, not to say he was a bum or anything, but one of the all time greats? No. We've seen Ward fight several top guys in their prime, and he's beat all of them not in good fashion but in great fashion it's time to give the man some props. He's p4p#1 and the best.

You make it sound like it wouldn't even be a fight. Look at Hopkins he had to fake low blows just to catch his breath. Calzaghe was busy and had more speed than Ward so say what you want and try your best to belittle the Hall Of Fame longest reining SM champ 10yrs, record number of defences etc etc
And Calzaghe would have schooled Froch.
