Realistically only welterweights that can beat Floyd are Leonard/Hearns/Robinson.

Don't you find it kind of odd that with ONE punch in the first round, Floyd turned Manny Pacquiao from his usual buzzsaw, relentless pressure style into a cautious, tentative, almost terrified boxer puncher with a low punch output (for him)? Apparently, his punches sting enough. Lest we not forget, he was able to put Marquez down, something nobody expected him to do.

Similar body style with Hearns slightly lankier with a longer reach and faster. Taller than Floyd, and Floyd negated Corrales' height advantage flawlessly.

As Reloaded said, not even a punch landed. People keep overrating Paul Williams, the dude was a B level fighter at best and nowhere in Floyd's class of service. The Lara fight alone told us that Williams shouldn't even be mentioned in the running against TBE.

I didn't say fight like Hagler, I said would beat Hearns the same way Hagler did - allow Hearns to gas and throw himself out of energy, then capitalize and walk him down to a stoppage. That's essentially what he did to Hatton.
Sure he may have a sting to his punches (& that was against Pacquia who isn't a true Welter like Hearns, Leonard, Duran & Benitez) but his power wasn't the same as in the lightwgt division. And so what he put Marquez down & he's a friggin LIGHT-WEIGHT!. And on the contrary I expected Floyd to do more than just drop his A$$, especially when he didn't make the contractual wgt. You can't use Marquez as an example comparing with Welters or even what Hagler did to Hearns. And Please people, Floyd only had 1 fight at Jr Welter. So now we'll assume he would beat anybody ay Jr. Welter? Remember we had other great fighters at Jr Welter; Pernell Sweet pea Whitaker, Aaron the hawk Pryor, Julio Cesar Chavez.

The thing is that Paul William's height alone at 147 made him extremely dangerous with his ability to apply pressure, his physical abilities would had overwhelmed Mayweather skills. Similar to prime Margarito and the insane pressure he would bring would have cracked Mayweather for sure

No he wasn't. Hearns was a natural welterweight and ****** at the higher weights. Hearns had a big frame but his musculature was designed for 147.

all three of them would definitely beat floyd imo. the combination of their size and skills would be way too much for floyd to overcome.

Other WWs i can think of that can possibly beat floyd are:

          prime dlh
          trinidad
          duran
          whitaker
          benitez
          vernon forrest
          paul williams

Benitez, de la hoya, trinidad, and forrest all had the size and skills to hand floyd a loss.

duran and whitaker are two of the most skilled atg fighters ever so they can definitely beat him

williams might not be the most skilled but his huge size and crazy work rate might be enough to overwhelm floyd

Mosely wasn't shot when he knocked Margarito the fcuk out the fight before and wasn't shot when he put Mayorga to sleep the fight before that. As a matter of fact, Roach said he was "too good" for Pacquiao.

"Shane came to the gym twice to ask me to let him fight Manny," Roach says. "I told him no both times, and both times for the same two reasons: First, there isn't enough money there, and second, you're too good a fighter."

Little Hatton? Floyd came from 130 and it's not like Hatton jumped up two classes or something. He put on 5lbs lol.

            Maidana, come on dude.

I think what people mean by that is Floyd is a smallish Welter. Based on his body type and height 135 or 140 lbs would have maximized his ability. But the money was at 147 and above so he stayed there.
