Realistically only welterweights that can beat Floyd are Leonard/Hearns/Robinson.

Duran got KTFO! There is not excuses here. Duran's style matchup wise was just not good enough for Tommy. The same goes for Floyd, Hearns is a bad matchup for him. & Duran Had a good chin. Fact is only the great Tommy Hearns KO'd Duran. What does that tell you about Tommy?

gasp!!!...You are using the Hearns/Hagler fight as an example of what Floyd would do to Hearns??? That was at 160 lbs MIDDLE-WGT! Understand only a middle wgt (a strong one at that) was able to do that to tommy. In the Welter wgt & Jr Middle wgt no one ever KO tommy (except for yours truly...Sugar Ray Leonard) Mayweather doesn't have any pop in his punches at Welter. Floyd would never be able to "do it" to Hearns like that never in a million years!!!

Count Duran too. He can ****** floyd and do exactly a maidana or castillo I only in a more skilled version, an inside fighting that floyd had never seen before his uncles knew about this and you can certainly count Duran's stamina will hold out and maintain pressure till round 100. There is nothing floyd can do because unlike Hearns he doesn't have the power to even interrupt a Duran. He'd take it, eat it and just move forward and remember Duran is not a mindless brawler who just moves forward. It's a very difficult almost impossibly unwinnable fight for floyd and he'd never take this anyway. One of the few things I like with floyd is his survival's instinct---he knows exactly where, who and when to take the fight.

I'm guessing ts is taking into consideration that floyd doesn't fight guys in their primes. These are just the guys he thinks beats a prime floyd while passed it.

Comparation Duran -Mayweather jr. makes much more sense than hears - Mayweather jr. Hearns is a huge guy, he fought at 147 when he was young, it was hist first division. Prime Duran was lightweight, while prime Floyd was superfeatherweight / lightweight. Prime Ray Sugar Robinson is 147 fighter.

Ray Sugar Robinson, Trinidad , Hearns, are probably the strongest 147 fighters ever.

Duran didn't train for the Hearns match, he was fat and out-of-shape a few weeks before the fight, mostly partying. Duran was kind of like James Toney, they would both balloon up in weight in between fights. You also have to take into account that the fight took place at jr. middleweight and not welterweight.

I hear ya, I'm aware that it took place at Jr Middle wgt & being that it is also considered super Welter & being that Floyd campaign at this wgt that is why i did the comparison.

But Brother let me tell you there has, is & always will be excuses for every fight. And don't get me wrong they are legit too, but i have come to the conclusion that they are part of the sport.
