Lomachenko and Crawford will do the same numbers that PBC did on ESPN.

I believe Arum is going to build up Horn to fight Crawford down the line.

ESPNs production was amazing, I liked it better than HBO and showtime. Teddy is emotional but that extreme reaction stuff sells big time with fans, so does Stephen A smiths ranting thats why Smith is a draw on their network casuals love outrageous personas.
are you saying that believing that Crawdaddy jumps to 47? I don't see him making 140 on his best day

ESPN went all out to promote this fight in just a short period of time.

Nice to see that from them.

Wasn't sure they'd have enough time given when it was announced, but it seems they did a good job.

Curious what happens for the next installations with Lomachenko-Marriaga and Crawford-Indongo.

Also intersted to see what happens after football season begins.

But this was a good start.

I hope it is! I'm glad that championship level fights are on basic cable TV, but i'm not sure it's a good thing when MILLIONS of Pacquiao fans watch their hero get robbed in Australia! If the sport can't get these judges corrected, the casuals might just tune out! I hope ESPN (Teddy Atlas) will have a say on need improvements in the game! Hopefully ESPN will have some leverage after last night!

I say show only two fights, one undercard and then the main event.

People don't want to be sitting around waiting

Big fights like this need to be on basic cable. You draw a much bigger audience all the time and increase your fan base. It doesn't really happen with Friday Night Fight level fighters, but with big match ups, you draw viewers every time.

Also, as much as people hate Teddy on here, he's good for the sport because he has passion. Passion draws attention. Same with Steven A. Smith ranting. It gets people excited because they feed on the energy they bring.

I think everyone needs to see Lomachenko. I want him to be the next superstar because he's so unique. I don't think I've ever seen another boxer quite like him. He has the perfect mix of offense and defense. The way he moves around the ring, I think it would get people excited for him and get people talking.

Say what you want about the decision in this fight, but the sport got a lot of exposure.

                    I don't know.

Arum and ESPN have made a big deal about this not being on PPV....would be a bad look go immediately back to PPV.

(Not that Arum cares that much about how it "looks" but ESPN probably would and this is supposed to be a two-way commitment.)

Plus, even with the audience and controversy, Horn doesn't seem big enough name to sell that many PPV's....especially if they stage it outside the US.

Because of the controversy the rematch will do even better.

These signs also bode well for Lomachenko and Crawford, the two biggest names on TR roster other than Manny. I don't expect them to get those types of numbers, but they're going to get people tuning in.
