It wouldn't have mattered in my opinion. I think Floyd would always have beaten Manny. But when they finally met, Floyd faced a guy who wasn't 100% fit, who looked like a shell of the guy he'd once been. So I don't see how that was a huge win. I give him more credit for beating Marquez and Oscar.
    Makes no sense.

Oscar was a part time fighter and no where to be seen on the P4P list. Ranked #5 in his division.

Pacquaio was universally considered #2 P4P, lowest #3.

    #1 at Welterweight.

I told you end the conversation. You're full of it. You have excuses for every fighter Floyd fought but ignore any other circumstances. This is my last reply to you so carry on with your ridiculousness. Manny was injured. TFOH

He wasn't the same fighter he once was no but he was still one of the best fighters in the world.

Mayweather was no where near the same fighter he once was yet he was THE best fighter in the world at the time.

It was a huge win because he beat one of the best fighters in the world P4P.

Best win of his career? Not sure but it's up there.

How does it not make sense?

Oscar was faded, but Floyd moved up and fought him at JMW, and he was completely outsized.

When Floyd fought Manny, Manny wasn't 100% fit, he looked a shell of the fighter he'd once been, he'd been iced by Marquez, and Floyd had a huge reach advantage.

I'm not bothered about rankings. I think beating that version of Oscar who was noticeably bigger, was a bigger achievement than beating the 2015 version of Manny.

I also think Floyd's win over Marquez was superior to his win over Manny. Like IMDAZED has noted, Floyd hadn't fought in a long while, and he looked great. But the weight issue definitely took the shine off of it.

.....mayweather was the more accomplished and had more longevity(greater)

Jones was the most talented fighter of all time in his prime and i would favor no one from 160-175 over him.....even ezzard charles, spinks who had trouble with lesser fighters

mayweather is greater.....Jones was better and harder to beat in his prime....Jones was the best fighter ever.....period...no comparison

"Shell" but still, one of the best in the world. That's just a fact.

Mayweather was a shell of his former self he was still the best in the world just like Manny arguably was.

                These are facts.

Marquez knocked him out but he still looked stellar after. Boxers get knocked out. Some bounce back some don't. He did.

It has to be up there, sure. I just don't think it was all that due to the circumstances.
