Rocky didn't defend his title many times.

And Floyd oh-so-carefully managed his career by waiting, retiring, re-starting, and picking and choosing whom to fight and when.

Most of Floyd's big name wins were against opponents who were WAY past their prime. And usually out of their weight class.

No shame there. It just doesn't deserve huge admiration in particular.

How many fights did Sugar Ray Robinson have before losing? 80-something?

Most of those wins were against slow white guys.

On the other hand, Sugar Ray Leonard defeated WAY better opponents -- like Wilfred Benitez, Tommy Hearns and Roberto Duran. All in their primes (though Duran was past his very best, which was at LW.)

But, because Leonard took on ALL the best competition RIGHT NOW, he also got beat, even in his prime, by Duran. So.....

I'd say 49-0 doesn't mean much to me.
Actually he beat the lightweight champ in his first year as a pro so...there goes your slow dumb ass.

Walcott, Charles, Moore, and Joe Louis (as Marciano fought them) are p4p better than De la Hoya, Mosley, Pacquiao and Hatton (as Mayweather fought them). Unless they were undisputed then they weren't real champs.
Don't forget Marquez, who was microscopically tiny (and old.)

Big name, though. But...old and tiny is Floyd's desired meat.

Floyd was good as a LW.

But he collected his big names at higher weights against decrepit old men who were way above their rightful weights.

Your slow ass is dumber than dog*****.

yes bc the age of someone in the 40's / 50's is the same as someone in the Mayweather day...clearly Marciano had the better resume but not bc of your absurd notions that each fought over aged guys when any intelligent person knows early 30's were actually old in Marcianos time period...get with the program!

              Did Floyd accomplish nothing?

Nope, he was especially good at the lower weights. (He used to actually knock people out then.)

But his big name wins? Those?

              Old guys, all.

Oh yeah I forgot that time goes by faster today than it did in Marciano's time
