I will be shocked if this fight even break 1 million.
McGregor VS Mayweather won't break 1.5 mil..... here is why

Mayweather made his fortune on Mexican holidays. His biggest buying fan base is actually Latino.
When it was his last fight on his own vs a black fighter, he only did 300K PPV's on a mexican holiday.
This time he's going to completely alienate his mexican fan base by not fighting on the mexican holiday AND he's not fighting anybody the latino fight fans follow.
So this draw is going to be completely dependant on MMA fan boys. They aren't even interested in this fight with the exception of some Conor die hards.
This is going to be like the Brock Lesnar UFC comebacks that projected 1+ mil PPV's but only ended up doing 300-400K because people aren't that ******.
It's not doing 5 mil. it's not coming close to 4 mil. honestly it's not even doing 2 mil PPV's.
Mark my words.
When the fight does more PPV's are you gonna go back and delete all your old posts like after the Spence fight?Comment

Fixed your post, and btw, for your reading pleasure Las Vegas hotel prices skyrocket for Mayweather-McGregor fight
http://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/i...mcgregor-fight
nice reach. hotel prices have never indicated PPV buys in the past and it won't now.
it's just WME getting their writers to work.Comment

hotel rates are up by speculation. that's all it is.
they can price the PPV at $180 by speculation. doesn't mean people will buy when the time comes.
do you get it?
the steam is already dying out for this fight. it's pure smoke and mirrors.Comment

Yeah, sure it is...until the promotions start. You're trying to discount the fight, which is anticipated from you, but it's warranted as far as a boxing standpoint. We all know it's a circus show, but what is pathetic is that you KNOW the fight will not only sell well over 1.5 million, but yet another gaylovekin fight will undersell, and the vast majority it does sell will be because of canelo, not golovkin. Until then, you can bash it all you want, but what I posted are real numbers that are being charged...and people WILL pay them...guaranteed. Floyd and his team are marketing geniuses.
According to Keith Idec of Boxing Scene, Mayweather is expected to make at least $100 million but his take could balloon to four times that much if the event hits all of its monetary metrics. McGregor will make at least $75 million, which is five times as much as he’s made from any UFC event he’s fought.
McGregor has made millions from endorsement and other revenue, but he’s never made this kind of money simply for fighting. His take could grow exponentially as well if the event is as big of a success as it’s pacing to be.
Boxing Kingdom estimates the purses could be as high as $400 million for Mayweather and $127 million for McGregor.
Aussie Media reporting purses for Floyd vs Connor
Floyd $400M
McGregor $127M US

That’s the type of purse that would seemingly set an athlete up for like with no real need to compete again. Then again, Mayweather reportedly took home a similar payday in 2015 when he defeated Manny Pacquiao. UFC President Dana White has already said he fully expects McGregor to defend his 155-pound title in the Octagon before the end of the year. If that happens, it should be a fruitful year for the Irishman, win or lose.
All of the purses are an estimate. Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe says the two sides have a confidentiality agreement that restricts them from revealing all of the financial details publicly. There will be a preliminary release of the purses, per Nevada State Athletic Commission law the day before the fight, but that is only a baseline figure.
The percentages of the gate, pay-per-view buys and other bonuses will not be included in those numbers.
Love it or hate it, this event is going to be a huge financial success.
Now, go cry and eat a fat ****.Comment

every discussion i've seen so far talks about if Conor can decision Nate Diaz therefore he has a chance to KO Floyd.
then the conversation ends.
