This time he's going to completely alienate his mexican fan base by not fighting on the mexican holiday AND he's not fighting anybody the latino fight fans follow.

So this draw is going to be completely dependant on MMA fan boys. They aren't even interested in this fight with the exception of some Conor die hards.

This is going to be like the Brock Lesnar UFC comebacks that projected 1+ mil PPV's but only ended up doing 300-400K because people aren't that ******.

It's not doing 5 mil. it's not coming close to 4 mil. honestly it's not even doing 2 mil PPV's.

        Mark my words.
Conor draws 1.5 million by himself (in MMA). Conor has averaged 1.2 million PPV buys in his last 5 fights (Alvarez, Diaz 2, Diaz 1, Aldo, Mendes). This thing is at least twice as big as any past Conor McGregor PPV. MMA fans alone will account for over 2 million buys.

        This is an "event"...
This is bigger than both sports...
        This is pop-culture phenomenon...

People will buy this thing, big-time.

        Brock Lesar's comback?
UFC 200 in 2016 drew 1,009,000 PPV Buys -- Brock vs Mark Hunt was the Co-Main Event
UFC 141 in 2011 drew 750,000 PPV Buys -- Brock vs Alistair Overeem was the Main Event

            P.S.

            - Mexican-Americans love MMA too
            - Cinco de Mayo is a "White" holiday more than a "Mexican" holiday, anyway
            - September is not the only time Mexicans/Mexican-Americans want to watch Boxing, or Mayweather

              Defintely 1-1.5m

Did a poll. Majority boxing fans in here going to purchase GGG Canelo fight. Those will buy this are floyd fangirls and people outside boxing.

It can't have the pull to legitimize thia fight since most bozing fans lnows this fightt is a sham and a mismatch. Casuals listens to the hardcore boxing fans. If they say this is a farce, then the noise will fizzle. Only gullibles, and MMA FANS will buy this fight. Hence, the A SIDE SHOULD BE MCGREGOR'S.

Here's the link to the lopsided poll.

McGregor popularity is slight overrated in my mind. This dude already has one loss so the indestructible factor is long gone.

Whether we like it or not, Mexicans are a big portion of PPV Buys. I know alot of casual white guy sports fan who do know guys like DLH, May, Pac etc but still are not really aware of Canelo (no english is a big factor) and much less Chavez JR. It was the mexicans who got it to 1 Mill buys. So you'd have to think some of them might be turned off by this fight and would much rather stream it. I actually think that as this fight gets closer it will lose some steam because people will become more aware that McGregor is no boxer and doesnt stand a chance against Mayweather. The main thing going for this fight is the CURIOSITY factor and as the fight creeps closer the curiosity factor will go down. I say it does between 2-2.5, which is not a bad number at all.

                great analysis.

they are trying harrrrrrrd to promote this fight now. remember WME owns UFC now, they got all the writers in the press typing up hype. they getting a cut.

The reality of the situation is, whenever this is talked about in the social media, you will read the comments and realize it's a clown show.

the closer it get to the fight the smoke will just evaporate. it's all smoke and mirrors now.

                this fight is a circus.

I don't think it breaks May-Pac, but this fight is going over 2M buys.

Let's bet. I bet it breaks 2 mil. You bet it doesn't break 1.5. If it's in the middle neither of us win.
