I'll stream that chit for sure.
nope. on insta on twitter on facebook.... everyone is talking about this fight.....
in the comments section it's generally regarded as a joke.
is CM Punk a draw? why? because he was not in competitive UFC fights.
COnor is going to flop like CM PunkComment

incorrect. Floyd fights on Mexican holidays. not Black history month. why?
black america don't have the pockets to buy PPV's.
why don't blacks support olympic gold medalist, undefeated P4P fighter in Andre Ward?
it's because he never got the latinos and the whites interested. they are the PPV buyers.Comment

Cash grab - Yes, the public doesn't know, the public doesn't care.Bro, you're literally making **** up. WTF are you talking about, it's so big, even soccer fans will watch it? Dude, Pac/Floyd was so big, even soccer fans, water polo fans, golf fans, EVERYONE watched Pac/Floyd. Conor doesn't reach some other audience. Everyone and their mama knew Pacquiao as well, except this was the fight of the century.
Floyd/Mac is literally, a cash grab, which is going to be successful, but not a competition in which the world HAS to see who wins. This is just a fun fight.
Where you fail is, thinking Conor has an even bigger casual appeal. The combination of Floyd and Pac > Floyd/Mac, because this was boxing's superbowl. This was a contest.
And no, it's not just 500 fans on this site. The majority of fans on Sherdog are also ****ting on it. And 500 is some made up number. When the general consensus for BOTH sports, boxing AND MMA have such a back lash towards this, it's NOT GOING TO COME CLOSE to Pac/Floyd.
If you're argument is, it's gonna be insanely successful, and be an epic event, of course. No one's arguing that. But there's no real drama, or intrigue to it like Pac/Floyd. That alone subtracts a **** ton of buys. The casual fan won't HAVE TO see who wins live. It's nothing but a fun fight that everyone knows Floyd's gonna win, and people are gonna watch to just see what happens for ****s and giggles.
In the case of Pac/Floyd. People have to see what happens for the historical context of the biggest combat sport event in the history of fighting. Boxing and MMA. The fight was that damn big. And I'm talking about in the PPV/social media era. Not saying Pac/Floyd was the biggest fight ever. I can't really confirm that. I'm sure Ali/Frazier 1 would've been bigger if it were in the PPV/social media era.
People ****ting on it on these forums will watch it, half of them will pay for it.
And I completely agree, that this fight on paper, doesn't sound extremely competetive, but it'll fool the PPV buyers enough to make a big sell. It might not beat Pac - May, but I wouldn't be too surprised if it did.
The storyline of this fight is OFF THE RAILS. Best from UFC challenging the best of boxing. People wills till tune in to watch Mayweather lose and everyone, even my girlfriend, says she wants to watch it. It's not a fight for the hardcore boxing fans, this is a spectacle for the public.Comment

I completely get that, and so was the Pac/Floyd fight. It had old ladies knowing about it, and watching it because their husband purchased it. It's exactly the same as Floyd/Conor. My point is, the extra 1.5 million buys is BECAUSE there was significance, and competitiveness to the fight.Cash grab - Yes, the public doesn't know, the public doesn't care.

Even casuals know this is a money grab, and that Conor stands no chance. You really think a casual, one with common sense, I'm not talking about someone's little sister, or someone's little sister, actually thinks a guy with a 0-0 boxing record is gonna beat the guy that "beat" Pacquiao? The same guy casuals think is the GOAT of boxing?
You don't give most sane individuals enough credit. Someone could never have watched basketball a day in their life, and they'd know that Lebron would beat the hell out of some Canadian league MVP.Comment

I guess we'll see. Ofcourse I remember how big Pac-May felt, when it finally hit. Even if people knows it's totally weird, there's still lots of questions. Half the UFC fans will probably believe there is a chance, the other half will pay. I just feel like this fight has that UMF, because it's a great time, Floyd is old and Conor is a gigantic star at the moment. Everyone knows who he is. He is meeting Floyd, who has been out of the ring 2 years, is 40 years old. People will find ways to buy into the hype. I think this will beat all other fights than may pac and still I'm not surprised if it did 5 mil.I completely get that, and so was the Pac/Floyd fight.
