if this one was rigged so was the martinez fight, because Jr looked exactly the same vs maravilla as he did last night (with the exception of the last round in the martinez fight)

If you're a casual fan and you don't know the history of the GGG-Canelo fight and Chavez Jr career, then this would look fishy to you. This is the first Canelo fight since Floyd that a lot of people threw fight parties and made an event around the fight. A lot of people I was around who are casual fans thought this fight was a fix.

Not a good look for the sport to have people coming away thinking that. Another black eye for boxing.
It's Oscar. Same as his fight with Hopkins were he took a dive (would have lost anyway) and the. They announce golden boy promotions were Hopkins has a substantial stake. Oscar is a cheat and a criminal.

          It wasn't fixed.
The fight went exactly as I expected, Chavez wasn't on the same level and all the hype surrounding Chavez was about what "if" he comes in shape, but it doesn't matters because even an in Shape Chavez isn't on the same level.
Talking about pure boxing talent what advantage did Chavez had over Canelo?, he was slower, he has never been a puncher, his technique isn't good, his head movement is non existent and besides his body punching and chin Chavez isn't impressive at all and Liam Smith was a better body puncher than Chavez so I wasn't expecting that to work.
Everyone that understands boxing would have known that Chavez didn't represented a real test regardless of how hard he trained and everyone was telling me about how his size was a matter but look at all the guys that Went 12 with him but were stoppes before or after facing him.
The fight wasn't fixed, it's all about levels and Canelo despite being a fighter that I don't like, he is just a step below the elite.
BTW, Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. Was behind the transmission team and he was going crazy, he was screaming and putting the death stare on the team when they said something about Jr, there's no way that the fight would have been fixed and Chavez Sr. Wouldn't have known.

I do notice that hype beasts (fans that only watch popular things) do scream out that a fight was fixed all the time. Like they don't know that fighters have been laying eggs since day one.

Dude left the ring with half his face busted, but the fight was 'rigged'. I expect that type of **** from casual fans that don't watch football but watch the Super Bowl, don't watch NBA but watch the Championships, don't watch baseball but watch the World Series. Don't watch boxing but watch 1 or 2 PPV's a year.

But from dudes who log in here almost every day, unacceptable.

it was strange, i wouldnt completely rule it out. it wasnt as if chavez was opening up and getting tagged with counters which put him in his place; he would get into a position where he could tee off and he didnt throw anything. looked at times like there was a deliberate lack of power in the jab. its strange that the ggg fight was announced immediately after, signed, sealed and delivered. i mean before this fight its not as if chavez was considered a complete bum who had literally zero chance so it seems odd that they would have everything set up to announce it straight away...

Now that I think about it. It's actually very possible since the GGG vs Canelo fight was already a done deal even before the fight even started, it could be that HBO made a deal with all parties involved to make the GGG vs Canelo fight bigger and to make it happen, Chavez' career has been on the decline and he showed several times that he's not interested in boxing anymore, this was his biggest opportunity to cash out and he probably got something under the table to throw the fight, I think the same happened when Canelo fought Angulo off the Mayweather loss, Angulo also didn't come fight and that fight looked very suspect to me as well.

Yea. None of us should say it's rigged. We should've known what it was before the fight. Some did but some like myself convinced themselves it was gonna be a real fight

Nah. It was just a very poor cherrypick.

i would say it was a great cherry pick. canelo was in no danger of losing the fight and he made a ton of money. plan worked to perfection. we know why guys like froch, ggg, and ward were dying to fight chavez jr. its a boxers dream come true. its like a baldomir with a following. what luck
