I'm not somebody who has a hard time believing a fight would be fixed, I know it happens but would they have taken the risk of fixing a fight so that a legend's son loses, when that son is already an enormous underdog because he's probably too weight-drained and far under the talent level of his opponent? Fixing a fight like that, not just having an understanding with officials who is wanted to win, but actually bribing the underdog to lose in that situation is a crazy as f**k risk/reward gamble. I don't see it at all. There have been inklings of this with Junior before too. Remember some of the rounds he went with Vera? He had the audience booing him for not throwing enough when he was winning in the second fight. I'm not surprised by his performance here. He was in way over his head in this year. Back in 2012 I don't know if it would be nearly like this but I assumed he'd get dressed down the same way I assume the Nelo camp cynically assumed before they sold this garbage.

I don't think this fight was rigged but a lot of fans are saying it was

Did he overtrain, was making 164.5lbs too much to ask for him after all?
Such a weird night, it wasn't a fight at all!
There were so many opportunities for Chavez to actually throw but he didn't, in fact, a 41yo Wladimir Klitschko at ****ing heavyweight showed more punch activity and we all know clearly Wladimir is old and his punch output has dipped fairly significantly.
There have been embarrassing PPV's before but this one definitely goes up there in the top list and oh yeah the WWE-sque announcement of the next fight was right out of Eddie Hearns textbook similar to the WladV.Josh announcement.
How cringy can Canelo be when the mic is put in front of his face?

These fake a*s rivalries hurt boxing.
Wanna see a proper fight watch Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua (next year) - the build up will be like watching that Alien movie (1979) and Terminator 2 (1991) combined.
If they can schedule the fight late night 1am/2am GMT you Americans are gonna see fight of the decade. I can see HBO and ShowTime bidding for the right to be shown on Pay Per View.
