    Cotto would've got stopped IMO

Fight was better for him above 140 and Floyd slowing down
even with cotto being a little greener @ 140, he still is levels above corley, and everybody floyd faced @ 140..., and even corley had his moments with floyd and i consider corley a journeyman at best with mediocre power...@ 140 cotto was a bodysnatcher, floyd would have to respect his power he wouldn't take the risk to stop him imo...

      Great reflexes.
Definitely. He was a lot sharper n quicker before his welterweight days

I never heard that they use to spar... any link to that?

Corely was no journeyman back then

He was a top ten 140 contender n held the wbo @ just prior....he only had 3 losses I think when Floyd fought him....he became a gatekeeper years after this fight...you have to watch the fights bro

Being a boxrec warrior ain't enough....watch the fighters

As front foot heavy as he was, he was gonna eat a lot of uppercuts n lead rights, counters from that peek a boo

Corely stunned him, Torres hurt him several times and Cotto was not as sturdy @ 140 as he was at 147

Also Floyd was harder to hit, quicker, threw combos, had more power @ 140

Cotto would've got beat up bad

Floyd was actually in his prime in 2004-2005

before or after the Floyd cotto fight, Floyd said it in an interview I think it was after. He said they used to spar all the time. Im sure they did as they were both under top rank for a while. u could look at this fight and tell they sort of knew each others tendencies to a degree.

              Also was stopping guys

I know you don't like Floyd bu no one was jumping to fight him until he beat DLH years later

if they didn't fight in their primes, its all opinion and speculation at this point so really only a floyd guy is going to say ten years later that floyd would stop him, when anybody who has common sense would say yeah floyd could outbox, and outsmart cotto, but hand him an absolute beatdown?...please....margarito gets the real credit here for that feat...

140lbs floyd was peak floyd at his best. He'd annihilate him.

please man, i've watched enough of all of these guys to spit from the scrolls and trust my opinion...

corley was, is, to this day, journeyman who cotto was levels above then, and now..end of

cotto was a puncher/boxer, who flipped to being more a boxer/puncher after margarito beat him...nobody even knew cotto had some boxing skills until he displayed them against shane mosley...like i said, @ 140 it is not crazy to say floyd outboxes him, but stops him?...eh maybe on cuts but sparks him out?...only a floyd boy is going to ride with that...

This isn't 30 year old Floyd

He stopped n or dropped everyone he faced @140

Also his ko ratio was well over 60% before moving to 147

Prove is in the pudding....the only big fights he had with his best opponents that didn't get stopped was Castillo n Corely( he got battered n dropped twice)

                      Prove was in the pudding
