his point is that since GGG is not black or hispanic, he is all hype, and every fight that doesnt get made is entirely his fault.

IMO, a champ should defend against a top 10 in the division -- and at the division limit -- within 18 months. Thats very generous, it gives a champ the opportunity to do whatever catchweight fight (like Khan), or stunt fight (like Jr.) and still legitimately defend the title.

Of course Khan at 155 didnt count, IMO. Canelo won the title in Nov. 2015. So when he scheduled the Smith fight, he essentially vacated.

At that point GGG WAS NOT the MW champ -- until he beat Jacobs, the legit #2.

WHen #1 beats #2, you get a champ.

So now GGG is the THE MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMP

And LLOOOOOLLL at Mirko the Troll trying to argue that somehow BJ freaking Saunders is the key to being the champ at 160. LOOOOOOLLLLLL

Agree. Especially since Canelo ALREADY said he "wasnt a MW" and then proceeded to fight at 154. What's the difference between these two statements.

I think that the TBRB knew it looked ****** to keep Canelo as MW champ as he was completely $h!tting on his responsibilities to defend, and needed some excuse to drop him.

IMO, they need to update their objective criteria -- as that criteria allowed Canelo to remain champ. The criteria is too lax - it accepted Khan at 155 as a legit defense, which is BS.

18 months is fine for a period of time to defend - but the defense should be legit

That means someone ranked top 10 IN THE DIVISION ( I would also accept top 10 ranked in an immediately adjacent division) and AT THE DIVISION LIMIT.

18 months gives a champ plenty of time to legitimately defend AND ALSO do whatever stunt fights he likes.

That's because GGG swerved away from fighting BJS. Before that happened, The Troll was churning out comments saying BJS was irrelevent and Golovkin only wanted to fight him to grab some of that Expo 2017 cash.

Another reason that Clownelo will never, ever fight Golovkin.

And every fight that does get made is GGG ducking somebody else. When it looked like Golovkin/Saunders was about to get signed, GGG was ducking Canelo and Jacobs.

So what if he did just fight Jacobs? He's got to do it again, immediately!

and nobody with a brain respects the ring title. it's the golden boy propaganda title. period.

but ring policy completely violates the tenets of the lineal title.

it's like saying i have a policy to recognize a golf cart as lineal champion.

that is how lineal has always worked. no different than stripping pacquiao when he said he was retired.

He dropped the belt like 18 months ago, people need to move on with their lives. His last fight was at light middleweight where he won a belt. Now he has a fight at a catchweight.
