185 sounds a bit high but memo's point in that having a weigh in of 164 instead of 155 will allow canelo to be bigger than he was in the past and in the past he was 170-174 when at 154/155... I think he will be high 170s to 180.

Here is the kicker though, he will be near the same weight of Chavez jr, Jr got his ass destroyed the last time he fought a larger man. He got outboxed for 11 rounds against smaller martinez ect. He NEEDS a big size advantage and now that hes gotten that taken away, what does he do better than canelo? Hes got reach and height and we all know he isnt a master of boxing on the outside to use that.

Looks like Jr will make weight easily and wont be weakened from a massive dehydration, but without his weight advantage he is going to get schooled badly by canelo. Canelo does literally everything better.

There are quite a few fighters that went over 20 pounds. I think the record is like 24lbs for boxing. For MMA they are crazy and I think they have a few that have done 30+ lbs.

???Avoid a beating??? How so? If $15,000,000 won't get someone to "Beat you up" NOTHING WILL!

I thought NO ONE lasts 12 rounds with GGG??? Now GGG is worried more about Hopkins record and won't rematch Jacobs until it's beat.

??? Canelo has beaten 4 guys ranked P4P higher than Jacobs. And lost to the ESPN P4P #1 best boxer the last 25 years.

Yeah, I dunno what's going on in MMA. I know Alex Reid had blood took out and put back in once. My nephew has fought on cage rage shows and goes from 170 to 186 and that's just a small time thing for barely any money. Looking at how strong Froch looked for example, fighting Bute at only four pound over the limit and giving away about 6,i wonder if there's any real advantages to these huge gains. It's gotta be largely water hey?

To be fair if your talking about Cotto and Khan amongst those you have to take into account that they are natural welterweights. Pound for pound means nothing at middle. Do you think Canelo could beat Jacobs? I think Jacobs is, even now, very underatted because of Pirog.

Its just water and then any food of course by not eating and using laxatives.

Ive done small cuts (for other weigh ins, not boxing) of like 10-12 pounds water over 2-3 days and its brutal. Not eating is easy but not drinking when youre super dehydrated and feel like youre going to pass out is a terrible feeling.

IDK how they do 20 pounds in a day. They have to be about to collapse at any moment when walking around.

He desperately needs a fight with Canelo to try to grab the attention of the people and slow down his rapid decline.
yes I'm sure ppv superstars such as king khan and beefy Smith were much better ppv draws than what a Canelo vs ggg fight would be.
