You think GG is some ethnic victim so we give him extra credit by saying Canelo's views don't count because he's Mexican??? WTF is that? Some kind of affirmative action for boxers?

I watched DLH fight mayweather from a double-wide trailer with a dozen illegal Mexicans, not one of whom spoke English. I live in the southwest and know a bit about Mexican boxing culture here in the US. As much as you want to think that they'll "buy anything", that's not the case. You may think Canelo is garbage and you might not be able to see his talents, but most of the boxing world does, including blacks, whites, etc. Mexicans are buying him because he's Mexican AND because he's damn good. None of that discredits his PPV success, no matter what awkward spin you try to put on it.

I'm talking about people laughing at Canelo numbers, when they're FAR stronger than Golovkin's. It's a blend of bias and ******ity. Personally, I want boxing to do well, period.
It's Canelo's declining numbers that people are mocking him for, plus the fact that Oscar is over playing the "A side" card, when Canelo so clearly needs a "name" opponent to sell really well.

900k vs Cotto, 500k vs Khan, 260k vs Smith.

And the Smith fight was the first time Canelo was able to fight on the Sept Mexican holiday date, which was supposed to be going to boost his PPV numbers to new heights.

Why do you losers even care about PPV Numbers ? You get 0 of that money & PPV Numbers has nothing to do with the sport of boxing.

Grown men arguing about paychecks of other men. Pathetic!

Maybe if you earned more money yourself you wouldnt be so caught up in Canelo, Floyd & GGG's pursue & PPV Numbers !!!

If they ever fight, GGG is a huge A-side in those negotiations. For a Khazak to outsell an American gold medalist in America, with a lesser known opponent to boot... just wow. Very impressive.

I know you're far smarter than that so I'm not saying this for your benefit, but just for anyone else reading; the numbers followed the decline in the quality of opponent. Put those opponents in reverse order and you would not have seen Smith do 900k and Cotto 260k.
                      But, you already know that.

What impresses me, is if you look at the quality of the opposition, it's actually stunning that he even got those numbers. Almost a million against an old Cotto??? Who pulled only 350k against Martinez, a far more intriguing matchup.
I'm still blown away at 260k for Smith. They didn't even give Smith a "hello America" fight. Canelo is a big draw and if his popularity was declining, I'd expect him to do more like 100k or less for that one. Silly that people are blinding themselves to looking at this with any sort of perspective.

You're dismissing Canelo's pull "because he's Mexican". How does that matter? That shouldn't even be part of the discussion but you're so wrapped up in this fanboy shyt that you will ALWAYS protect Golovkin and attack Canelo. It's childish.
