900k vs Cotto, 500k vs Khan, 260k vs Smith.

And the Smith fight was the first time Canelo was able to fight on the Sept Mexican holiday date, which was supposed to be going to boost his PPV numbers to new heights.

    NO !

It's Canelo's declining numbers that people - who support a guy who is FAILING to become a PPV star - are mocking him for

Grown men arguing about paychecks of other men. Pathetic!

Maybe if you earned more money yourself you wouldnt be so caught up in Canelo, Floyd & GGG's pursue & PPV Numbers !!!
Probably the same reason you put your bench press numbers in your sig....

        But, you already know that.

What impresses me, is if you look at the quality of the opposition, it's actually stunning that he even got those numbers. Almost a million against an old Cotto??? Who pulled only 350k against Martinez, a far more intriguing matchup.
I'm still blown away at 260k for Smith. They didn't even give Smith a "hello America" fight. The guy is a big draw and if his popularity was declining, I'd expect him to do more like 100k or less for that one. Silly that people are blinding themselves to looking at this with any sort of perspective.

You're dismissing Canelo's pull "because he's Mexican". How does that matter? That shouldn't even be part of the discussion but you're so wrapped up in this fanboy shyt that you will ALWAYS protect Golovkin and attack Canelo. It's childish.

HBO needs to realize that GGG is NOT a PPV fighter! Loeffler might as well take that $15 Million ASAP! No way will Oscar give GGG 25% for a guy who has never sold 200K PPVs!

Canelo made around 250k ppv for his last fight so he aint no A side.

That's the point I'm making. Canelo is not a PPV draw like Floyd, who could sell 500K + against anyone.

You hella under estimating the Mexican casual pride following for canelo.
OMG soooo true. I was watching this in college with 2 friends, one who is Mexican. He scored it 116 - 112 for Canelo. I told him that he has a bias so his score is null and void. LOL.

Exactly , ****** canela fans pretending that ginger hoe is a PPV star.

Its a simple formula, mexicans love boxing, take one mexican boxer and every year on biggest mexican holiday where all families get together and willing to pay for a ppv make a fight. Of f-king course mexicans will buy some ppv that day, 250k worth Thats it!!!! not more not less. Lets see Canela fight someone in March he cant.
