People don't understand canelo got a Mexican fan base who dksab they just watch anything to do with Mexicans, they don't tune in to any other fights.

+ at least another 30k for the online PPV, so over 200k

Still 5 times as much as Crawford and way more than Ward did.. err Kovalev did, since people bought it for Kovalev, not Ward

When you realize that Jacobs alone would sell about 20-25 PPV - (according to the amount of fans he has).

That's a big improvement over his last PPV and a good sign. I hope this really did that well.

That's a pretty pathetic way to justify hate. Because boxing is a cultural thing with Mexicans? GG draws a casual/crossover fanbase too. So what?

I'm talking about people laughing at Canelo numbers, when they're FAR stronger than Golovkin's. It's a blend of bias and ******ity. Personally, I want boxing to do well, period.

It's facts and any Mexican will tell you it is. It was halarious watching canelo floyd with them, if canelo even grazed floyd he won the round in their eyes, and most of them had no clue who danny Garcia even was coming into the mythyesse fight I was smh.

You hella under estimating the Mexican casual pride following for canelo.

Since when 170K is good PPV numbers? even Jim Lampley (an HBO guy) said that all PPV should be at least 300K.

              This PPV FLOPPED big time.

Comments Thread For: Loeffler Confirms Golovkin-Jacobs Did About 170K PPV Buys

Promoter Tom Loeffler told Yahoo! Sports on Friday that the Gennady Golovkin-Daniel Jacobs pay-per-view show Saturday night generated roughly 170,000 buys based on figures compiled far from cable and satellite companies. That means Golovkin-Jacobs out-performed Golovkin's first pay-per-view main event, but not by a large amount. That fight, an eighth-round technical knockout of David Lemieux at Madison Square Garden in October 2015, produced approximately 153,000 buys, according to Loeffler.

                  GGG-Jacobs does less than 200

lmao you can't even call a spade a spade when it comes to GGG without being branded a racist hater troll. Say what you want but numbers don't lie.

Ok, and? Do Canelo's buys count less because his casual fans are Mexican? lol
