no surprise as GGG exposed as a good not great boxer by Jake

Jacobs showed the boxing world commie GGG is a good not great fighter who when challenged with a viable good opponent normal is average. I never bought into the GGG is great crap as most did. Jacobs did well and gave 100%. Think what a prime Hagler or a prime Roy Jones or even a prime Hopkins would have done to average GGG????? DUH?

Abel was very poor in the corner imo. He had no answers for Golovkin.

Do you think it's age, or improper conditioning? I don't think he's looked bad in his last two fight as a strategy to get Canelo!
He is saying he likes Jacobs as a real good fighter and that is why he could not knock him out. I don't think he was trying to imply that he was pulling his punches. I admire the fact that he tries to speak English, but there is a downside with misspeaking. Alvarez and Marques can speak English, but they prefer to have an interpreter to help both understand the questions and more importantly to respond accurately.

Associated Press/ESPN/Boxingscene/USA today all scored the fight for GGG... Even CBS sports, who like ESPN is partners with Pbc scored it a draw. Cries of robbery R obviously ridiculous.

I don't think it's bad conditioning. His 30 day weights indicate he stays in shape year round.

If Trip rematches Jacobs....and Jacobs lets Rozier and Hunter break down his mistakes....hmmmmm. It wasn't the shots that Jacobs took that cost him the fight, it was the shots he missed (and by missed I mean landed but not accurately enough to influence the judges or hurt Trip).
Before the fight, I said Jacobs had to "put money in the bank" early, and let his hands go late! Jacobs started with the jab, then went downstairs later. If he had done the reverse, he would've won the fight! I knew Jacobs would not win the fight if it went the distance! You can't simply survive, and take GGG's belts in NYC! Message to Kovalev, rematch in NYC!

Love 'em or Hate 'em, GGG is a class act! He just went to Jacobs' backyard and won! I give him props for that! You can tell by his body language that he knows he hasn't looked too good lately, but I think he knows his time is limited, and he's frustrated that he is still fighting Brook and Jacobs, and Canelo is making MEGABUCKS fighting Chavez Jr., and Floyd is making MEGABUCKS fighting McGregor, and he's asking himself: "WHERE'S MY MEGA-FIGHT?" It has to be frustrating!

GGG had an off night... he could not ajust. He did win but, something was wrong. He didn't go for the kill once he had jacobs hurt. Something messing with his mind: Canelo, injury, girl, age,....

However, Floyd is 40, and he might not make it to Round 7! I think Lara could do the job if GGG fought him, but Abel won't let that happen after last night's performance! I want to see Jermall Charlo vs. Jacobs, and Lara vs. GGG!
From this point on GGG will be even more carefully managed and Jacobs isn't getting a rematch until he's been in some more difficult fights and taken some wear and tear. Not right but that is the way it will be. Jacobs/Charlo would be compelling but I'm wondering how much longer Jacobs can make 160.

Lara could give GGG a lot of issues with movement but I don't think he has the power to trouble him so that would mean GGG would unload more than last night.

Both Oscar and K2 need to make that fight now!!! It'll be gone in a loss to one or the other otherwise - marinade gone sour.

Many posters on here crying about GGG should take $15M but nobody looking at it from the Canelo side. Can you imagine Canelo in with Charlo or Jacobs? No money and huge risk. Canelo can't keep fighting Chavez over and over. Who brings money at 154 or 160 to the extent of GGG. And the thing is that if he loses he can rebuild as he has ten years in front of him still.
