That's a Good Answer AFT!!! Why couldn't Ward make 164??? Because he knows he would have taken a beating melting down to that weight. He could have done it, but wisely chose not to. Yeah I've read and heard all the arguments and links from both sides. I don't think anyone other than the promoters really know the truth about the whole back and forth issue. One day I hope they will fight and settle the issue, but for the time being they both have other things going on in their careers. Golovkin won the fight over Jacobs and it is time for him to move forward with his career. DJ will do the same.

Regardless of what boxers we root for, we never want them to look bad with a tarnished image , leave unanswered questions and theories, and fight the very best competition available. I'm sure GGG/DJ and Ward/Kovo will once again face each other,...when?? That's up to them I guess. But when GGG climbs into the ring with Ward, he's going to kick Andres butt!!!

It applied to GGG. Jacobs wanted to fight for that belt. Implied all along he had every intention of adhering to the same day weigh in. This in itself forced GGG to be up early for the second weigh in and stick to the weight limit when Jacobs knew all along he was going to ignore it and come in at 180. Even his nutritionist has said the same. If you dont think thats underhand I dont know what is.

Would GGG keep the belt if he didn't meet the requirements? If not, I'm sure he would have done the next-day-weigh-in regardless of what Jacobs did. Jacobs was wanting the weight advantage, there's no doubt about that, but he didn't have to fight for the IBF belt so I don't think it's underhanded.
