If Jacobs beats GGG he will be upgraded to super champ but his reign as WBA MW champ will still have begun when he beat Jarrod Fletcher in 2014. In the WBA records, Danny's defences of the super title would be added to his regular title defences as one continous reign, in exactly the same way as GGG's have been added since he beat Geale.
They just make it up as they go along.

It's really that simple. Glad we could agree.

Or I can bump a bunch of your old posts with you arguing tooth and nail when you were dead wrong. I don't mind you being wrong. It's when you try to talk down to other posters when the reality is you're nothing but a failed promoter that's currently living the life of a Tampon Boy

Another Golovkin thread, another straw man being thrown around by the muppet show.

Chollo Vista, I'm telling you again, you are a tool. Nobody said Jacobs was ducking GGG, but he was quite happy keeping quiet and waiting, instead of excercising his right to fight for the super title. And there would have been no point GGG even trying to get him to step up before 2016 with the rift between Haymon and HBO as wide as it was back then.

"Golovkin's best years are behind him .. I'm getting him at the right time."
      Danny Jacobs.

Danny might have just downplayed his possible victory by saying that GGG is past prime. He might be right but he shouldn't have said that because if he wins - he beat a guy who wasn't at his best...and if he loses- he got beat by a guy who's past his best.

Jacobs taking the fight due to the brook fight
Saw something he finally feels he can expose

          But IMO he's wrong
And will get stopped within 6 rounds

          Let's see what happens

            Ill take those odds

Wow! 8-1 Golovkin! I'd take those odds even though I think GGG wil probably win! To me Jacobs has got more than a 1 in 8 chance!

            We'll soon see!

that is the ******est thing I have ever heard

              what utter nonsense

you LITERALLY just stated that the WBA "No1 contender" can make title defences

              what utter nonsense

Yeah, those are definitely the actions of someone who doesnt want the fight.

Im done with this. Think what you like. Hopefully you honor your pledge to leave this site after saturday.

that is exactly what they did, but the WBA refused.....
The World Boxing Association has issued a purse bid extension for the ongoing negotiations to make a middleweight showdown between middleweight champions Gennady Golovkin and Daniel Jacobs.

If the Brook fight was an accurate representation of where Golovkin is in his career, he's in trouble against Jacobs. I'm assuming that's not the case. But he didn't look good against Brook.

No, ****** as it may sound, technically that's exactly how the WBA will count the number of title defenses, just as they have done for GGG. We can feel free to disregard them, and probably should, but that's what the record books will show.

a " No1 contender ", making title defences..... is fake

even the WBA themselves admitted it earlier TODAY.....

"Mendoza wants to eliminate the issue of multiple WBA titles in every weight division. He started that mission in early 2016 and hopes to establish a single WBA champion in every weight class by the end of this year....."
World Boxing Association President Gilberto Mendoza Jr. is planning to order the immediate negotiations for a rematch between featherweight champions Leo Santa Cruz (33-1-1, 18 KOs) and Abner Mares (30-2-1, 15 KOs).

the media/fans should not be supporting that fake bullshht

that is not how Robinson went about his business

Golovkin needs some names, or nobody will remember him

he will just be remembered as..... that Russian guy with the fake defence record
