Depends on how big of a fan of him you are to be honest. I loved watching Floyd when he was younger, when his hands went bad and he had to adjust I didnt like to watch him. Doesnt take away from what he did really but it doesnt mean I have to put him in the top ten either because he doesnt belong there. Its all opinion you see, mine is no more valid than anyone elses.

Nowhere near the top. Great fighter but his best wins were all against PAST IT fighters. ALL HIS BEST WINS. Best ever business man in boxing though.

[QUOTE=Fists_of_Fury;17500724] The right path Thurman has that prime Guerrero and Colazo doe. The masterful Bundu, etc...

Its not hard to see that that was the 1st tier to the career. There's levels to everything, and yeah he beat those guys, while all the while he was calling out the bigger names, so ya can't be mad at that, but trust me, if he starts slippin', he will get the business

You don't get to fight everyone you want when you want to... there are things like promoters, managers, and sanctioning bodies that make that impossible. You also can't tell if a fighter is gonna lose to another if you sign to fight another.

I don't want to hear excuses or whats impossible. Just make the f**king fights. Thats the problem with today's boxing. Instead of holding your favorite fighter accountable for fights not being made, you'd rather sit behind a keyboard and fingerpoint with another fanboy about who refused to take a test, or some other frivolous nonsense. Meanwhile 8 years later, you got two over the hill cats who fight like two over the hill cats, and you want to gloat over that? Lame.

We get it you don't like Floyd... but you obviously hold him to a higher standard than others.

...you think i don't like floyd, but whats wrong with higher standards, or do you just schlep through s**t?, but to be honest, the standards were already set, ali, the sugar rays, those are the standards, i just call it as i see it...Floyd, was a boxing prodigy....came from a boxing family...the black mamba, that was my dude....did he beat guys to the best of his ability..absolutely..., but because i am not yelling tbe i am a hater?...ok...I have assessed quite a few fighters on this board...could care less what the fanboys think

You clearly are a fanboy if you think every fighter can just fight who they want and when they want "with no excuses". You have no understanding of the way stuff really works apparently. Promoters, managers, sanctioning bodies, television networks, sponsors, scheduling, etc... all have to be considered when making fights. Only a dumbass thinks otherwise.

you clearly are somebody that i'd be wasting my time debating with past this post, but...

the difference obviously is, you just roll with whatever your favorite fighter tells you at face value...

thats why my boy has always been hagler...had he ducked, or tried to wait out sugar or hearns or duran he would have been hogtied...60 some odd fights...left nobody on the table...all losses and draws avenged except for that last one against the sugar man...fought in obscurity for years, was robbed in his first title fight, and still cultivated a stellar career with great paydays...retired on top...no excuses for why fights didn't get made, because they all got made...THATS legendary s**t my man...learn it

talk to me on the real, or don't talk at all...

Floyd had a great career, I'd rate him probably top 25 maybe top 20 of all time.
