spence beats everyone that every fought at welterweight, and probably any other weight class. no other fighter that ever existed could beat 40 year old bundu and pillow fists algieri, them wins are amazing. Line them up and spence would knock them out, manny pacquiao- easy work, floyd mayweather- piece of cake, sugar ray leonard- spence would beat him with one arm. i would argue that teddy atlas should have put him higher up on his pound for pound list.

and in answer to the original post, maidana had the perfect style although he wasnt a good enough fighter. Maidanas not half the fighter pacquiao was but he gave him a tougher fight cause of his style. People will laugh but hatton made floyd pretty uncomfortable too at times especially in the early rounds if you watch them back. its how you fight a slick, you get stuck in and dont give them room to breathe, win rounds on pure work rate.

oh yeah but he has a tko over a prime meldrick taylor, and took the fight with whitaker, a prime one at that, when he could have avoided both those guys and fought a few more cab drivers...

if he had all the tools to beat him, he would have beat him...the deck was stacked for him...chose the glove size, brand, ring size, division....

its simple and one thing you cant measure is the will to win and the ability to adapt which Floyd had.

            the man fought the #1 guy @ 130, 135, 147 and 154 while winning a belt at 140 too...lineal in 4/5 weight classes

So by your logic Joe Louis not an all time great because he never beat a "super" elite heavyweight in their prime? He has 0 wins over all time greats.

Look at Alexis Arguello, Tommy Hearns, Julio Cesar Chavez, all all time greats and beloved, yet Floyd has a better overall resume and beat OVERALL better opposition and didnt lose to lesser fighters like these men did.
ODLH was not in his prime when he fought with Floyd, come on, he was like 34 years old.

Prime ODLH was in welter and in 135-140 he was a giant with crazy skills and power.

Floyd had a lot of possible great rivals, Pacquiao in prime, Mosley and Cotto in prime, Williams in prime, etc.

He didn't fight with them, period.

              What an ignorant.

Chavez unified 3 weights, and he cleaned all, he fought with all the fighters, when he was old he fought with ODLH and Tzyu.

The win vs Taylor is better than the best win of Floyd.

he beat 0....Gavilan wasnt in his prime until the early 50s and growing into 147.......Armstrong was still a good fighter but clearly past his best......Tommy bell who he beat for the title was decent....marty servo was good but not "super elite"

....when you are as good as these men are/were its rare to have a rival in your prime, unless its someone with skills and a clear size advantage Robinson(LaMotta)....Mayweather(Castillo)...other than those guys they outclassed everyone until past their prime, respectively.
That's different because Floyd had good rivals in their prime but he didn't fight with them, he was more focused for make money and take the swift way, and I like Floyd but that's the truth.

it takes 2 parties to make a fight and what you dont realize is Mayweather had been calling out ODLH and mosely since the 90s...in 06 the fight was possible but shane wanted a good vacation and he had a toothache

Williams had one win over a top ten ww....margarito in 2007...then right after floyd beat Hatton, williams lost to Quintana in early 08.....won the rematch and moved up to never fight at 147 again

If you followed the sport around 04-07 it was clear as day Arum was not gonna put cotto in with a prime mayweather when he was building him up.....by 06 both arums biggest stars left him...Mayweather and floyd...cotto was his new blood.

Roach admitted drug test cut off dates killed the first round of negotiations

either way bro....floyd beat prime elite opponents

Floyd clearly had the best resume of his era, and fought better opposition than his contemporaries so its a joke to even dismiss who he fought when no one has a resume like his. Manny has a good one but he also lost to no names, got KTFO by JMM and never beat him clearly one time

Chavez dumped the title he won from Taylor rather and fight Raphael Pineada

                    Randall made Chavez quit.

Unlike Chavez....Floyd never quit or dumped a belt to avoid somebody.
