If GGG gets beat by Jacobs does it discredit everything he has ever done?

Not accomplishing something should not discredit your past accomplishments.

A loss to Jacobs would simply solidify Golovkin as a good but not great career.

Golovkin isn't rated on his accomplishments though, if he was he wouldn't be anywhere near a P4P top 10.

If Jacobs wins then Golovkin was an hype job, not as good as most thought he was.

I guess you must be praying to the god of GGG haters that he loses. Not likely. He is a 7 to 1 favorite so the smart money is on GGG to win. GGG has defended his world titles against world class middleweights numerous times. Lemieux was a world champion for fuc sake. Murray almost beat champion Martinez. Macklin was a challenger for the middleweight title before and Geale was a former champion. These are all world class middleweights. Using your incredibly ****** theory of one loss effecting all previous fights what did Jacobs KOing Quillen in the first round do to Andy Lee. Quillen held Lee to a draw so by your thinking Jacobs KOs Lee in the first round also.By your ****** way of thinking if GGG KOs Jacobs he should also get credit for beating every fighter Jacobs beat. GGG is well hated on this forum so the other haters will back up your ****** statements.

I agree that if Jacob wins, then most likely we will see GGG as being a hype job, in the sense that he shouldnt have been considered a top 5 p4p w/o an elite win on his resume.

We has been dominating MW against solid contenders. We cant take that away from him. But if he loses to Jacobs, then yes, my #4 p4p was premature

However, to the haters here, will you not recognize that if GGG beats Jacobs impressively, that he deserves a top 5 p4p? Jacobs IMO is the best at MW -- I would even rate him comparably to Canelo at MW.

Or will you retroactively declare Jacobs to be a bum.

He's beaten VERY IMPRESSIVELY a long list of solid contenders at MW. Proksa. Macklin, Geale, Murray, Rubio, Lemeiux. All solid MW contenders. And he beat them all down.

You act like thats nothing.

I mean I have Bud next at #5. He's beat Gamboa & some other dudes at LW, and a very good fighter in Postol in a 2nd weight class. IMO, GGG & Bud have comparable claims to p4p.

Compare that to what someone like say Canelo has down. He's barely decisioned some slightly better opposition: Lara & Trout

He clearly beat Cotto, who we can think of as "elite" -- but who also was past his prime.

Im comfortable w/ GGG clearly above Canelo on p4p.
