If GGG gets beat by Jacobs does it discredit everything he has ever done?

Nope it just propels Jacobs into orbit and an immediate top three p4p ranking as Golovkin is considered elite. A win for GGG over Jacobs does little for GGG as Jacobs has already shown he's got a soft jaw and a not very credible durability.
We'll have to wait for a GGG noteworthy win but I would say it is fair to say this will be his best win alongside the Geale and Murray wins, I don't really rate the wins over the previously stopped Lemieux and Rubio some consider to be bigger wins Geale and Murray had never been stopped before so I suppose you could argue a case they're already better wins than a Jacobs ko victory.
Jacobs ain't winning this fight, he hasn't enough to trouble GGG

Losing at the age of 35 to a hard hitting challenger in his prime would not discredit GGG's record or achievements at all. He would still have won 3 world titles and have 17 successful defences, all by KO.
He would also still have his fantastic amateur record - 345 wins from 450 fights, 2 Pan-Asian titles, Olympic silver and World Championship gold medals.
The only regret would be that his achievements as a pro could have been even greater if he hadn't been ducked by Sturm, Martinez, Quillin, Cotto, Canelo and BJS.
