Strip Canelo instead of Golovkin actually fighting Canelo.
and I love how all the GGG hate squad members dont have the slightest idea what other terms are in that "offer", but still think it should be accepted without question.

Again, so what? The man fought at 160lbs, that makes him a MW does it not?

Is it no longer a fact that 160lbs is MW???

neither fight was contracted at 160..i have shown you that..doesnt matter what he came in at..you cant dispute facts..take your L like a man and move on

Leonard was the WBC Super Middleweight Champion, and Hearns was the WBC No. 1-ranked super middleweight contender. Hearns was also the WBO Super Middleweight Champion, but his title was not at stake. Leonard refused to have anything to do with the WBO due to its involvement with fighters from apartheid South Africa.
Leonard dictated the terms of the rematch, including a reported clause that carried big financial penalties if either fighter weighed more than 164 pounds at the official weigh-in.

Yeah we like coming to an opinion from what is known not on infinite possibilities of what could be.

i see both points to be honest. to your point, they could have drafted a contract to fight at heavyweight, doesn't make them heavyweights. in this case one of the two fighters did go into supermiddleweight limit.

in this scenario each person can make their own judgement and they won't be completely wrong.

If the fight is contracted at SMW it's a SMW fight. The SMW title was on the line Durans MW title wasn't.

So you're on record saying fighting at 160lbs is not fighting at MW.

They fought at 162 and 164 catchweights. Leonard weighed in for those CW fights at 160. They weren't MW fights.

you mean #48ists. Eastcoast is legendary in the post #48 loss threads.

ask Eastcoast if Pac weighing in at 142 vs Oscar was a Light Welter or Welter bout. ask him if Marquez has ever bottled at a 147 limit
