Opinion. Lineal/titles exist so we don't have to rely on opinions. The fighters actually have to prove it. Golovkin has proven NOTHING.

Forget this whole lineal rubbish, it only matters in a division where the best fighter holds that honour. At 160lb, since Martinez was dethroned, the best fighter at the weight has not held the title. GGG is the best. He doesnt need the ring or anyone else to tell him that.

I'd agree that in this deplete environment, Jacobs is the second best middleweight, considering BJS doesnt bother fghting and Eubank has left the weight. 1 v 2. Winner takes all.

That's your opinion. It's not an opinion that Canelo beat the man that beat the man. That's why Lineal exists, you have to prove it. Golovkin hasn't.

Canelo left the division. He fought at 154 and now 165.

Leonard beat Hagler, then fought at 165 vs Lalonde, then fought Hearns & Duran at 160. Then fought Norris at 154, then six years later fought Camacho at 159. If you're saying there's a time limit on how long Leonard had to fight at 160 again, that's a subjective rule you're making up. There is no rule, Leonard fought Hagler at 160 for 'that' lineal status and eventually lost at the weight class vs Camacho.

Leonard left 160 after Hagler and then retired..you make no sense..sorry man but thats how lineal status works

SRL didn't fight at 160 again before he retired in 1991. Even if you want to Leonard never lost and was still the champ, it became vacant when he retired. So he wasn't the champ when he lost in 1997.
