Look on the bright side. Washington is undefeated, in shape, and will bring an angle that Wilder struggled with against Szpilka (movement and boxing). Let's see how Wilder deals with it.

Because NSB thinks Wilder is the first HW in boxing history to fight borderline contenders like Washington, Duhaupas, Molina, or Spzilka. In the past they only fought HOFers every single fight. Every fight was Ali-Frazier or Lewis-Tyson..

Washington is a far more intriguing fight than the Polish carpet fitter masquerading as a boxer.

No one is super excited by ths fight but clearly more satisfied than the original. Personally I would have preferred Mansour, he gave Breazeale more than he could handle and is not a bad choice after a half year out inactive.
