So, let's see those quotes that lead you to creating this thread. We're waiting.
read the damn thread. i keep reading 'he top 10 doe' 'he undefeated' hes top 10 with the ****ing wbc, that means nothing. Pick through most sanctioning body top 10 rankings and youll find some bums on there. Fact is ortiz wanted to fight him as a replacement and wilder decided to fight washington but your all happy with this? His ring lay off isnt even that long considering how long most people wait between fights.

When Golovkin fought Wade it was ok cause he was the "mandatory" to Golovkin. Do you mean to tell me Wade was the 2nd best MW in the division?

It's not just a layoff. He had TWO injuries. Not one but TWO.

The guy he's fighting was a very good football player who was unable to progress because of chronic injuries. He is a late bloomer in boxing but a good athlete and a big man. (6'6" 245lbs)

If Wilder sustains another hand injury I can see him doing a repair then going after the biggest money fight which would be in Vegas against Joshua or if Wlad can win. He may go after the winner if he's healthy after the bout but it makes more sense to get Parker first! Then let the build up begin against the other champ.

Hopefully his surgery is 100% successful!

I haven't a big issue with this fight but I can understand why some have, Wilder for all his talk has not optionally taken a tough defence or mandatory since picking up the belts over two years ago, upon picking up the belt he had an immediate mandatory owing, before orders to face mandatories he's slowing the processes by lining up fights before and dragging the process out by squeezing in yet more soft defences and here he is facing another scrub after six months earlier facing a complete no hoper.

For me this is his last pass, if he elects to continue to hold the belt hostage and hold the division up longer a la Fists of Fluff Furry and Kell Brook holding his title hostage whilst fighting in complete mismatches albeit with Brook a fight we all knew he'd lose ! He needs to unify or face a mandatory challenge in the least next, hell if it ain't a top ten guy I'll be pissed.

            Ortiz is just blowing smoke,

Ortiz went the distance with Malik Scott
A guy Wilder destroyed in ONE round.

Well, one thing is for sure, at least Wilder is fighting a true HW not someone from 2 divisions down.

Still waiting for those quotes that lead you to creating this thread though.

He thinks Ortiz will beat Wilder and Washington will not. NO more, no less.

Not like the Ortiz fight was gonna happen. Eddie Hearn has the say, not Ortiz.
