Well the orgs & tv networks don't necessarily have to care about each other.. orgs make money out of sanctioning fights, mandatory etc.. Another belt means another title shot & another chance for tv networks to telecast it.. Promoters have a tie up with networks to promote their fights & fighters.. Orgs will do just fine no matter who is telecasting the event..
If PBC had belts would you respect / acknowlege them over the Alpphabet titles?

I don't understand these questions.
If you are asking this with the understanding that PBC already has a stranglehold on boxing in the USA as I discussed a page back or so, then you answer your own question.
If you are asking this without considering that PBC IS boxing in the USA at the time, then you aren't keeping up with the conversation.

I felt I was more than clear when I broke down a timeline into steps 1-5 a few pages back.Comment

i'd completely shun it. A PBC belt would be something i would wipe my arse with. Because youd be looking at ****ing wilder as heavyweight champ for example, the PBC roster is an absolute joke, full of cherry pickers. Sooner haymon runs out of money the better.Comment

Org makes money out of fighters and the belts they hold.. Why would org care who telecasts the fight..Comment

orgs make their money from 3% of purses. where does a lot of the money come from for the purses? television. how do you make big stars that are able to draw big money? television.
it's not that the orgs care about which specific channel is showing the fight, it's that they care about channels spending a lot of money, which translates to higher purses, which translates to higher sanctioning fees.
if HBO pulls out of the business and some combo of Fox/FS1 or CBS/Spike/Showtime has all or most of the big time US boxing locked up exclusively via PBC, and PBC decides to shun the alphabelts, that's now millions of dollars every year that was being given to the sanctioning bodies before that they wouldn't be getting anymore.
without the US, the sanctioning body pie isn't big enough for four major organizations to flourish.Comment

HBO leaving boxing will not affect the titles, and it will not affect the 4 official sanctioning bodies..... a whole lot more would need to happen..... so your 7 years is gonna stretch waaaaay out..... and every time a PBC fighter loses, they take 2 steps backward.....
you have NO idea if that will happen, that is a guess..... most likely based on who you prefer..... the reason why I came to that conclusion is because it is highly unlikely that Golovkin will destroy Canelo, that is not the most likely scenario in that fight
..... and if you are wrong, then Canelo will rule boxing for a looooong time..... which could blow out your 7 year estimate because if HBO enjoy success they will stay in the game
As HBO continues to slash their budget, more and more fighters will be forced to leave Arum for Haymon.
PBC doesn't need the WBC/WBA/IBF/WBO to disappear. When the time comes, PBC just needs the American public to accept the PBC championship as the #1 championship in boxing, the same way they recognize the NBA championship as the #1 championship in basketball.
good luck with that LMAO
good luck convincing the American public of anything..... let alone convincing them that the latest alphabet title to hit the supermarket shelves - the 5th one - just so happens to be the best
the WBA/WBC/WBO/IBF will still exist, they will still have champions, and they will still have their heritage..... all they need to fk PBC is to ask the question..... "is my guy better"..... they will not need to provide the answer to justify their existence, they will only need to ask the question..... unfortunately
If 40 boxers hold a press conference and throw their alphabelts in the garbage at the same time and agree to face each other to crown one PBC champion per division, and PBC is the only boxing with a major US television presence, what title from that point forward is the public going to think of as the #1 boxing title?
ummm, that is what I suggested.....
the only thing is..... my suggestion would happen immediately, would have a massive impact on boxing, and would make it much more difficult for the ABC bodies to ask the question above..... your suggestion is a pipe-dream at this point..... and your pipe-dream is totally centered around the PBC "champions" winning EVERY SINGLE FIGHT for years, AND hoping that nothing changes within the boxing landscape in the meantime
we already hear some PBC guys complaining that the same money aint there, and they have been inactive
so much could change within the boxing landscape over the half-a-lifetime that it could take for that to play out..... and every time a superstar signs with a rival promoter it will set that plan back another 5 years+
I think they would need to create/manufacture a certain type of situation immediately..... not put a long-term plan in place and hope that it plays out, hope that our fighters win, hope that no other superstars emerge, hope that a rival promoter/network/ABC body doesn't make a similar move, hope that the boxing landscape doesn't change, hope that the government doesn't intercede in 10 years time and introduce new regulations, etc, etc.....
I think the best that PBC can hope/plan for at this point...... is to gain a controlling interest in the sport with a lot of influence.....
the battle that you are suggesting could only be won by "shock and awe"..... not by a protracted siege
just imhoComment

they don't need to flourish, in order to exist
it is a huge call to assume that they will all just pack up and leave.... they would merge before that happens
waaaay too many " IF's " involvedComment
