You read the rest of my post, you're just not smart enough to respond to it because you know I'm right. As far as resume, resume is who you've faced, not just who you've beaten. How many fighters today have faced better comp than cotto? As far as who he's beaten, I'd say his 3 best wins are mosley, Margarito rematch and Martinez. If you want to discredit those wins then fine, I can discredit any of canelos wins as well. Trout - out landed Canelo but Canelo got the win thanks to Texas judges, Lara schooled Canelo, Outland en him but again, shady judging. Cotto- 10 yrs older than Canelo and 20 pounds lighter and Canelo still couldn't hurt him or win dominantly. I'm not sure why I continue to debate with an idiot such as yourself but your comments are too ****** to let slide.

YEA CHARLO- Charlo-Andrade are way better than Kirkland

Cotto wanted an easy fight to avoid both Charlos and Andrade. Makes perfect sense in a screwed up boxing world. Cotto needs a win and a big payday. Kirkland the goofy easy to hit lazy KO'd sap is a perfect one for brain dead Cotto.

again, tell me who has a better list of fighters faced? If Canelo truly whooped cotto then why did TV Azteca have cotto winning? Why did Chavez Sr, Marquez, Barrera, nacho berenstein, Fernando vargas, mikey Garcia all score the fight for cotto or have it a draw? I disagree with the idea that Kirkland is the best name out there... Before people start yelling GGG, you must acknowledge that Cotto is much smaller than GGG (even if he held the lineal MW title for a couple of fights). GGG isn't a reasonable option. He could have fought Brook, Bradley, Lara, either Charlo, and they would have had the same level of name at least and been better opposition. Cotto picked this fight to showcase that he still has it to make a better fight. It may backfire though. Ann Wolfe is the biggest x factor in this fight.

Well RocNation owes Cotto like 10-15 million for his last contracted fight. They figure to make more money with a Kirkland priced type of fighter to be able to have enough to keep some for themselves and pay Cotto his guaranteed amount.

As far as the match goes...its a good fight to see..2 strong punchers and Cotto likes to brawl from time to time. We should see Cotto win with a KO late. PPV worthy no...but a fight you cant miss if you love action...

And that's the sucky part. I'm a big Cotto fan. He always brings it and I don't really mind a tune-up fight, given the layoff, but I do mind it being on PPV just because Cotto is fighting. Politics end up giving fans a raw end of the deal because we are so loyal to the sport... I'm hoping 2017 gives us more of what we want...
